What you cooking during the Ice Storm GLP?
Wife and I have a French toast tradition as we find it always funny milk eggs bread always sell out around here. We call them "The French toast people". Literally the only time we make it.

So have some local thick cut salt cured bacon I'm frying up, French toast, some cheese eggs, and throwing some corn we stored in the deep freezer to roast over the fire in its husks in a cast iron pot (rotating in the pot often) and rubbed down with some bear grease and garlic! yum!

Wife is sipping some homemade blackberry wine I make (day drinking). I'm enjoying some freshly ground coffee from the perc.

Same here! It's the only time during the year when I really cook a huge breakfast, at 2 in the afternoon nonetheless.

I'm in New Mexico, and we got us some snow!......5a

I'm making chicken and biscuits later....because snowy day comfort food. I'm having a banana/blueberry smoothie in a bit, my normal morning fair.

We had homemade biscuits, scratch gravy from bacon grease, bacon and fried eggs. Yum, yum!!

Now my daughter is in the kitchen making apple muffins with crumb topping… all from scratch.

And of course there is a pot of hot Cocoa simmering on the stovetop to warm bellies and fingers when the kiddos take a break from sledding and playing in the snow!

We live on a property that borders the national forest. Im gonna guess a couple hundred years ago some pioneer type transplanted a single blackberry bush into a huge ass orchard of the things.

The bears love them. So do we.

We fill up buckets and buckets. Press them and boil. Add sugar. Ferment in a car boy, rack a few times.

Then bottle back sweeten for some carbonation (not for everyone but my wife and friends at church like it that way). Let it age in the basement.

North of DFW... had biscuits & gravy, bacon and eggs over easy this morning after confirming the roads were too iced over to drive to work. Having chilli cheese fries for lunch, got boneless chicken breasts thawing for dinner, not decided if I'm going to make fajitas or chicken parmesan yet.
On our 2nd pot of coffee already, got the caffiene jitters but zero desire to walk out the front door lol

Left over stew for lunch.

Supper, a zukkini bake, fresh broccoli with a thin seared chicken breast w/lemon and herbs.

About to bake an old fashion loaf of fresh bread!. I'm having a glass of cabernet watching the snow fall.

From scratch,

Potato soup... and an apple pie using apples from our tree. Been forever since I made a pie.

But if I get into the edibles stash that may not happen until tomorrow, lol.

Edit for terrible grammar
