The only irony here is that the OP believes the U.S. is the "greatest nation the earth has ever seen."

At an infantile 246 years old, the United States cannot compare with truly mighty empires like Rome, the Ottomans or even the Chinese Song; all of which not only lasted much longer but contributed far more to the world.

For just a couple of examples, we wouldn't even have paved roads, concrete or indoor plumbing if it weren't for the ancient Romans.

In fact, the best U.S. engineers around today still can't fully duplicate neither that concrete [that has withstood millennia] or Arabian Damascus steel.

And even though Americans like Thomas Edison and Alexander Graham Bell stole the credit, the light bulb, the telephone, recorded sound and motion pictures were ALL created in other nations.

America has always excelled at COPYING -and exploiting- the work of others and this is particularly proven by our system of government, which is totally based upon... ROME. Even the architecture in DC mimics their temples, right along with the rampant corruption that eventually crumbled that mighty empire. And it's that same arrogance and criminality that will eventually bring about our own downfall.
