I think I like my DX12 with my RTX 2000mhz GPU and my 5GHZ I7 combined with my new nvme ssd... God Unbuntu is some dog shit. No thanks.

But I guess it can be hardened, but would not recommend Ubuntu, especially with snaps.

TailsOS run solely from a USB stick is good.

If you happen to own a Pixel smartphone I definitely recommend GrapheneOS. Has a hardened secure kernel, hardened memory protection, no links or ties at all to Google, sandboxed play services/store (if U want it), hardened custom built chromium, camera automatically removed metadata etc etc.

CalyxOS is too far behind on security patches, LineageOS is ok, not secure like Graphene and requires tweaking.

I wish NVIDIA and AMD would just make a GPU that only supports OpenGL without the DirectX. Leave in the hardware encode and decode for video content. I'm not interested in gaming. I want to make media content and I would like a processor designed for specifically that.

I want a cost effective GPU, easy on power and generous in memory that can render a hour long video recording down to a minute with 32bit color space, 12bit luminance at 4K resolution. I'm sure this could be done by removing all the DirectX logic. Think about a GPU that does video editing, CAD/CAM, Solid Works, Maya, Blender 3D and audio production too.

Working people need tools to be more productive unlike basement dwellers playing games, popping pimples, eating pizza and masturbating to Japanese anime.
