It comes down to the fact that the US/NATO isn't prepared to join the fight, risking starting ww3 to keep control of Ukraine. In case it's not already obvious, biden isn't the one controlling the US military, he's not making this call. Whoever really controls the military doesn't seem to want this to escalate.

The first time I ever heard the term "fake news" I knew the jig was up. We as a people would never again be able to trust anything that even vaguely resembled the official narrative.
