Personal choice. Mustard no sugar. Tons of different kinds. Healthier and better for you. Lots of sugar in ketchup. If you like ketchup real sugar is better than high fructose corn syrup.
Leave out the ketchup and many would lose weight. Most wouldn’t touch french fries without ketchup. Not a healthy choice.

Ketchup is wrong.. Mustard is very acceptable..spicy mustard..not that garbage yellow mustard.

I used to be a mustard or nothing kind of guy, and I still think ketchup on hot dogs is for kindergartner. But I will say this, I don't really like a bitey mustard anymore. I'm at a loss for my cured pork meat sausages condiment.

I have added pepperoni slices to hotdogs before. A little fattening, but tasty.
