You can find happiness or contentment till you improve enough to satisfy your own standards. 4) Ethics can be reduced to two principles: Do not harm others, and keep your promises. Failure to do either will only do damage. 5) Having children and/or taking responsibility for others is very rewarding 6) Become as self-sufficient as possible, learn as many skills as possible, and learn as much as possible. |

You don't need to eat out five nights a week, have a new car constantly, and buy all the new toys. Learn the power of compounding interest. 1000 dollars saved in 1970, doing nothing with it, would now be $7400. [link to www.in2013dollars.com (secure)] 2. Learn about the stock market when you are young, and invest in it. It is not a casino, but it's not that hard. If you invested $100 in the S&P 500 at the beginning of 1970, you would have about $21,932.07 at the end of 2022. 3. Buy real estate. It is the one TRUE appreciating asset that no one can take away from you (unless you don't pay your property taxes, but that's another story). 4. Marry young. Marriage and finding a spouse is a young person's game. There is nothing grosser than someone long in the tooth still looking for someone. Get married, resolve to make it work no matter what, and keep that love alive. 5. Figure out what you are really meant to do; don't just fall from thing to thing that doesn't interest you or you are not GOOD at. Because this will happen: you will become good enough at it, that you will feel you have to keep doing it, and you will be miserable. So here is the saying: Don't become good at doing something you hate, because "they" will make you do it for the rest of your life. And "they" is your spouse, your kids, family, society, and when it comes down to it, you. Last Edited by Justice4all on 05/10/2022 11:03 AM |

If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it. Cameron has never been in love - at least, nobody's ever been in love with him. If things don't change for him, he's gonna marry the first girl he lays, and she's gonna treat him like shit, because she will have given him what he has built up in his mind as the end-all, be-all of human existence. She won't respect him, 'cause you can't respect somebody who kisses your ass. It just doesn't work. Oh, he's very popular Ed. The sportos, the motorheads, geeks, sluts, bloods, wastoids, dweebies, dickheads - they all adore him. They think he's a righteous dude. |

WHat would they be? 1. Invest in yourself - learning, skills, experiences. 2. Travel the world - get out and experience as much of the world with a backpack for as long as possible. 3. Don’t worry about things you can not change 4. Don’t be afraid of failure. Love is bullshit. Work hard and stay away from presenters pretending they want to see you happy. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 72155974 United States 05/10/2022 12:20 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | First, if you're a male, learn to cook. Find a friend or colleague that can teach you the basics of cooking. It is the one skill that can keep you healthy and give you a tremendous amount of independence. It is also a great social skill when dating. You can learn a lot about a woman if you spend any time cooking food together. Secondly, spend more time walking in nature and swimming. Both are great exercises that you can continue to do even into old age. Don't be intimidated by what others say. Listen carefully to what people in authority say, but watch more closely as to what they do. Think independently and make your own decisions after thorough research and investigation of the facts. |

Follow your heart and don’t be deterred by what others say. Set your own goals and don’t let others set them for you. Never backdown no matter what the circumstance. Remember self sacrifice on any level is the greatest gift humanity has been blessed with. The world is a big place do not allow yourself to be trapped with localised ideals. Be honest and open. |
