If life ends when the heart stops beating....when does it start?

Life starts with first cell of the new body.

Clinical death has to include cease of brain function as well. The heart is a vital organ, but not the only indication of "life"

Life does not end when the heart stops beating. Otherwise resuscitation would be moot.

Death occurs when catastrophic organ damage occurs, from which the patient cannot be brought back.

In this way, you can only die medically once.

You can have NEAR-death experiences, but you were not truly dead, or you wouldn't have been brought back.

Likewise, all of what we call life is coded in DNA.

A reproductive egg of any species is not life, as it is incomplete. Nor is a sperm life, because it carries only half the code for life.

Once both halves of the code are brought together, there is life.

Here's an amazing medical fact: You can look up pictures of the exact moment a sperm enters an egg. There is a beautiful burst of light eminated from the egg st the precise time. Seriously. This is scientifically documented.

Those who argue that a child in the womb is not life because it requires the care of a human parent, the same can be argued about children up to the age of 18, and some offspring far beyond that legal age of adulthood.

Humans have a very long developmental phase, which begins at conception and full physical maturation is not reached until the age of 21-25 years old.

Plenty of times someone's heart has stopped beating and been restarted and they lived.

So either way the heart starts beating 5-6 weeks in so yea I can agree that's a good point to cut off abortions.

Women need to be proactive in their cycles and be trying to prevent pregnancy before it starts though, if they don't want a child.

The brain can continue to function even after the heart stops beating. May want to think twice before being an organ donor, you could literally have to experience the donations in progress while trapped for some time in the still living consciousness.
