Weather doom is upon us.

The problem is, we are in our early stage of our growing season and this could quite possibly cause a lot of problems due to frost-shock on budding plants affecting an already damaged agriculture from last year.

Its unseasonably cold this year. I woke up this morning to snow on the tips of the hills. Last year at this time it was unseasonably hot. I need warm weather for bigger morel mushrooms

Same, woke up to get a coffee from Tims and the mountains were all snow-capped like we see with the start of winter. Never seen that in May in my 45 years of living here.

Yep... it will push back growing for gardens. My friend said they are already trying to protect their plants with plastic sheet coverings. Hopefully it just delays some plants as every species has a varying degree of hardiness against cold.

Man, I woke up to SNOW in Gold River yesterday. Like, it's halfway into May and people are asking about the highway conditions before going into Campbell River. It's CRAZY!

And yet still trying to recover the lawn from 40+ temps from late July to Sept of last year.

We have Asparagus up, and garlic from last year, but honestly? We're doing carrots, zucchini and potatoes, that's it - nothing else is getting in on time this year, it looks like. Already killed off all of our potted plants with a hard freeze after a week of 12c temps.

I still have my studded winter tires on... was going to get them off this weekend but I have to drive on elevated highways and we are still seeing ice.

Either we are entering into a Mandar Minimum Ice-Age or the Jet-stream is failing... either way, hard to ignore these weather changes over the last decade.
