The curse of antisemitism

Matthew 5:42-44

From Jesus, himself:

Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbor, and hate thine enemy.

But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;


That's the only way. Imagine someone from a different religion or background that you is hostile towards you. If you are hostile back - what happens? You're in confrontation and it's only escalated - you made it even worse.

What does Jesus say? He says - love them, pray for them! - some of those people - will see that - and awaken.

if you're a christian you follow Christ, and to follow Christ you listen to his word, and his word is the word of God, which is both himself and the bible. You don't follow men and you don't follow demons, and to discern truth from lies you need the bible. The bible is not fake.

Sola Scriptura, sola fide, sola gratia!

There's rightful anger as well acording to the bible, that attitude is not always right either. Jesus also said do not throw pearls before swine. But generally yes.

I'm going to stick with what Jesus said. He said that's what was taught before, but here's the path.

I'm gonna follow his path. I will avoid as best as I can with GOD's help, anger of any kind.

GOD is righteous. His anger is righteous. He is the only one who sees all. He is the only one who is JUST. His anger and his wrath is just. Vengeance is his.

You can't escape anger and rightful anger is sometimes even right. You should get angry over certain things. Pacifism is not biblical either.

48 But Jesus said unto him, Judas, betrayest thou the Son of man with a kiss?

49 When they which were about him saw what would follow, they said unto him, Lord, shall we smite with the sword?

50 And one of them smote the servant of the high priest, and cut off his right ear.

51 And Jesus answered and said, Suffer ye thus far. And he touched his ear, and healed him.

Some righteous anger there by the dude with the sword. They were arresting Jesus, the CHRIST. He was protecting the ONE.

But, Jesus healed the captor. Jesus healed one of the men putting him in bondage.

I am going to do what Jesus does. No where does Jesus do or say anything that makes it appear we should be violent. EVER.

The rules changed - his holy spirit is here now. We don't have to do that. We don't have to be afraid. There's no reason to get angry. It's all perfect. We're free. It's over. We already won. The moment you've accepted Christ. That's it. Your life is eternal. All you want to do is try to help save others as well. Wake them up from their slumber. Love & gentleness is the only way. It's magnetic. You can't beat violence with violence.

Jesus, again even says as much:

Then said Jesus unto him, Put up again thy sword into his place: for all they that take the sword shall perish with the sword.



I am a proud pacifist. Jesus was too.

Good points on both sides

The deeper meaning of this passage is of course that we don't spread christianity with violence, I agree there. That doesn't mean violence is not the right action for example in self defence. I know I can trust God, but even christians experience violence like in Nigeria. If we lived in a fair world, Nigerian Christians would have AR15s and be hailed as heroes if they weeded out some jihadis attacking them. That would keep evil in check.

Jesus DID tell the diciples to bring 2 swords prior to that, remember? Don't think he knew what would happen?

I understand that about the self-defense. I personally am not keen on it for myself. I don't believe I need it. I trust in my faith. I believe I am in GOD's hands. I am not afraid of whatever happens to me. They will try to persecute me. I know this. I am ready for it and prepared. I will not fight back. It won't help. It will just add fire & anger & rage.

But, I am a supporter of people being able to own firearms. I have shot firearms many of times. I'm actually an extremely good shot. My eyes aren't what they used to be, but I can still do remarkable things with a gun last I used one - not long ago. But, I have no intention of shooting anyone in this lifetime. My time is my time. I am here for a purpose and a reason and none of those reasons include violence. That's just for me. I am not in anyway telling others how to live their lives. Jesus is really the guy for it. He is the only one we should listen to. We are CHRISTIANS. He is our guide, he is our path to the father, through his spirit. He told me how to live, and I love the way it is. It's the only way for me, it's perfect and true. It's flawless wisdom.

I believe you can have so much faith - bullets would go right around you. Guns would break & jam or melt in their hands. Whatever GOD wills. I am at his mercy.

I don't like jews.

OK I can respect that, but it's still wrong NOT to defend your wife if a burglar enters your house at night and maybe even rape her. The right thing would be to put that burglar out of his misery, and its even biblical.

I hope you never will find yourself in a situation like that, but if you do and the burglar end up dead you did the right thing and defended your family.

Even with God's protection that is a matter of principles.

Actually, I have. I've had incident where it was like that. I've been threatened more than once, actually. I scare them. Just by looking at them. They ran. With fear.

Many of us have but as the man of the house (I guess?) you're also the one making sure family like your wife are safe.

In the US they say these are God given rights, because self defence are so basic we should take it for granted, it's not something even worth debating. Yet liberals want to criminalise self defence.

to me that statement seems debatable.
the bible wasnt written by christ or god as far as i know. from official stories.
orthodox follow christ without the bible.
as far as im aware. since their view of the bible is the same as mine.
unless were calling all different bible books the bible. no matter how many versions there are in existence.

and seeing how most people couldnt even read or write in the time the bible was created.. it seems highly unlikely that people who cant read just go to hell etc.

No, GOD makes my wife safe. I'm just a dude. GOD does everything for me. I can't do anything at all by myself. I'm pretty pathetic, tbh. Before I found GOD, I was garbage. I couldn't defend squat. All my talent, all my skill, all my wisdom - it's all from him. And he improves me daily. GOD does it. GOD protect my family. Not a piece of metal. Not a manipulation of creation or a product of it. But, the CREATOR of it. I am in his hands.

Taking away the 2A is not going to help anything as far as guns. I have no desire to see people who defend themselves persecuted. Again, I like firearms. I think they are fun to use. Plinking is a very fun pastime. Hunting for your own food. Or, if you need it - self defense.

I don't believe government or policy can fix anything. It's an institution of man. All men are liars. There are none good, no not one. You cannot legislate salvation. Everything corrupt will die. That's just how it is. Only GOD in his infinite wisdom and perfection can last forever. There is nothing governments or men in general can do to fix the corruption. Death is decay. The world decays without GOD being at the head of it. No man has more wisdom than GOD to fix it, either. Violent crime will continue no matter what legislation is proposed - it will be there in some form or another. You can't put words down on a piece of paper, call it a law, and think that evil will stop. It just won't. Man have no solutions. They never will. They are but men.

Yes but in God's order you're still the man of the house, if something were to happen, defending your household rests primary on you.

I have faith as well, but this is a matter of principle and we live in a fallen world.

And. he always has, and whatever he wills that's his will. It is not my responsibility to kill another human being that at any moment could be saved. GOD will kill him if necessary. GOD will deal with them when I ask.

Matthew 17:20

That incident we talked about - that was middle of the night, wife in bed, outside, wearing all black, bricks to bash, inches from the bed, knew a man lived there, knew I was home, knew I was even awake, a pro likely - a lawless criminal. A ghost he became.
