I live by the philosophy that you get more of what you pay for in life.

If I like a product or service I will happily pay for it, to encourage it and get more of it. And if I don't like something I won't pay for it, to discourage it and to get less of this kind of thing in the future.

The problem with GLP, is that I think I like it and find myself ready to support it, and then suddenly my IP is banned again, just for me typing some word from the secret naughty word list that makes no sense, and then I'm reminded of why I'm not paying for this service after all.

When I upgraded mine they made it so I cant log in.

Around 5 years ago, I had an upgraded account.... It was great.
Then the red karma struck when you commented an opinion.
So I was told to join the jukebox, make friends. That's where the karma kings hang out. ha ha.

I don't remember what happened, but I was just commenting away one day and then BOOM I was banana. I tried the email appeal thing and I never really knew what I had said or done to get the banana but next thing I knew? I had a refund appear in my email. To be honest, I was hurt by it. I liked this place a lot. Maybe too much

Maybe it was an overzealous admin. Heaven knows there has been a few of those.

I guess after that I stopped trying to be a cool karma kid. There was no point in trying to fit in with the "click".

Admins come and go. I get that.

Maybe I will try upgrade again.. I try to play nice... Back then? I just wish I knew what I had said or commented to get the banana. It would have been nice to just get like a 3 day suspension and a warning about whatever comment or word to avoid in the future.

just a few reasons why, imho, upgrading is worth it.

Upgrading helped me be a better poster too.
