Yeesh, this thread has exposed quite a few people here for having domestic abuse tendencies. I'm appalled at the amount of sympathy for the abuser shown by some here.

I'm done with helping women out or being their champion. It was how I was taught growing up but no more. Sunday I saw a man smacking a woman around in the parking lot of Home Depot and she was half his size, so I stepped in to defend her and de-escalate the situation.


I'm a large man 6'6" 280 well built. I had this idiot off the ground and I was just about to pound him into the dirt, when the girl says. "Don't hurt him you motherfucker!" then they turned on me. She already had old bruises on her too.

And she called the cops, and they came and put me under arrest for assault and battery. My word against theirs, so now I need an attorney to untangle this mess for being a decent human being and coming to the rescue of a woman in distress. I also made the cops take pics of her bruises after I pointed them out.

No one saw the incident but the three of us since it was in the parking area away from main traffic. I'm 100% done helping any woman in distress after this incident. Chivalry is indeed dead now to me. It's probably going to cost me more than the 5k, I have the money but that's not the point.

Same thing happened to me once . I guy was punching a girl in the chest hard . I said guys what’s up he ran at me and swung on me . As telex I caught the punch he was pretty drunk and I flipped him through a big storefront window right then a horseback cop rode up and started hitting me with a club . I got assault charges and had to get a lawyer . They both said I started it luckily ither witnesses spoke up before the cop put me in the car . This cop hates me because he was screw-in an ok girlfriend of mine that still loved me . She would call me all the time and I was like no thanks you are with a cop . Anyway it’s best to stay out unfortunately it cost me $2500 for the lawyer back in 2001 and $1500 for the window . Plus 1 year probation unsupervised .
