That’s weird apparently there’s many different sizes to the debris
But I don’t know if it’s frozen chunks of rock or what

I have a grandchild in the Navy on the East Coast. I will check with them about if leave is cancelled. Last I heard, it is not and they are planning on visiting their parents this weekend.

Calculations show Earth will cross SW3’s orbit at about 3pm, May 31 (AEST). If the debris reaches far enough forward for Earth to encounter it, then an outburst from the Tau Herculids is likely, but it will only last an hour or two.

Just checked and the grandchild is at their parents for the holiday weekend - which is 4 hours away from their base. Sure their position in the Navy is just an administrative position, but their leave is not cancelled.
