u have 2 look at the landscape and see all the different sectors and methods used for the attack. all financial sectors and assets are being attacked from a financial, broadcasting FUD, even down to technical hacks ie credit card machines and their api endpoints, crypto currency hacks, etc.

all i can say is this, from seeing the resources and reach that all these attacks seem to use and all at the same time frame, it is a coordinated attack and i dare say it has the backing of three letter agencies and/or state sponsored attacks
