They can't fix problems in the software, it isn't their jobs but that's the job of the people who made the cookie cutter. Then when they actually do get technical support it's some Indian woman who hardly speaks English and spends 90% of the time trying to scam the poor old people. They did it, they are the ones who voted for this. |

Quoting: 1228 She keeps telling them but they do NOT get it. They tell her to follow the link they sent her but hahaha no, it is just a text message. Patient portal? No! The poor woman is losing her mind over this and she finally realizes that everyone is basically following the instructions given by AI/robots/computers.......and no one can think for themselves or make decisions. In order to make a doctor's appointment she has to go to the office and make it in person. Same with the pharmacy, she never knows if her prescription is ready. Technology is a wreck for some elderly people and it is getting worse. She even had consults about "accessibility" and nothing has helped because they keep tweaking the technology and every update causes problems. My 80-year-old mom handles smart phones just fine. If they're older than that, then they probably need younger family members helping them out with their medical stuff. |

I own a cheap smart phone that I use for calls, text, and pictures. No apps. If I can't figure it out in my head, it ain't worth doing. I'll use a real computer with a proper interface for anything that really matters. Most of the time, the phone sits with both cameras covered.
