The more money they print, the more debt they can sustain. It's exactly why the debt ceiling had to be raised.

I haven't seen this "meltdown" yet. The more they print, the more debt can be sustained, the less valuable the dollar, the more dollars needed for future purchases, ergo inflation. The fed tempers inflation by adjusting the interest rate. The real mistake was leaving the prime rate close to zero for 12 years.

No sign yet that other nations will stop accepting the USD any time soon.

The '08 collapse happened because they handed out junk loans like candy, everyone was flipping houses, eventually the prices inflated to a level nobody would pay, the flippers couldn't sell their latest investments and defaulted en-masse. The stuff is only worth what people will pay for it. No doubt we are nearing another correction, but collapse? I doubt it.

This stuff doesn't happen in other countries where the market pricing for kitchens and baths aren't astronomical. There is no reason it should cost $5K for a bathroom and $15K for a kitchen. Nothing in there materials wise costs that much. It's all greed.

I have family in a foreign country... They paint their house a different color every year. Only costs them about $300. $50 in labor and $250 in paint. Even with US labor pricing there is no reason it should cost $5000 to paint a house. Just greed brought on by Boomers.
