Anonymous Coward User ID: 73456063 United States 06/23/2022 10:52 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | These freakin' people with their damn constrictor snakes. The whole reason these damn snakes are now throughout Florida by the millions is because these goofballs. I kept a pet gator once, and looking back now I felt that was stupid (and big time illegal now). But, even so, it was native to Florida, where I grew up, and even at it's largest is no match for these damn snakes. They're actually pretty timid and tameable. These snakes are extremely dangerous, and snakes in general are hard to read. Although they may appear to be "friendly" to their owners, they're untrustworthy. If that thing decides it's killing time, that dumb bitch will be finished. I'm no expert, just an opinion of somebody that grew up around lots of these things and loved going and exploring as a kid. Many years ago where I grew up I knew a family that kept a giant boa. The daughter - who was my age - loved it and "played" with it all the time. The snake slept in a giant cage in her bedroom. One day they notice it's starting to change color and get really skinny. They figure it's sick and take it to the vet. Vet tells them it's starving itself and getting ready to eat the young daughter. Tells the family he has to put it down or it'll eat the girl - and according to the vet once the snake makes up their mind on what they're eating there's no changing it. They put the snake down and the daughter was terrified of them after that. She actually thought the thing loved her like a dog. Another one... My cousin's live in Florida and down the block they knew a couple who had a snake sneak into the house and swallow their newborn baby during the night - killing it in the process - the mom went into feed it the next morning and found the snake. The husband killed it and cut it open trying to save his child. Obviously it was too late at that point. These are real stories. Not urban legends. They are evil incarnate and must be eradicated. The world would do fine without them. A movement towards killing all of them would be wonderful. These things deserve death and nothing else. as a western person who has the chinese snake in his zodiac i and my people are offended by your rational comments. uh.. |

Here in South Africa we also have them, they're a protected species. A guy in the village here once had to shoot one dead, sadly. It was trying to eat their Jack Russel. Quoting: A Deplorable Neanderthal The female python measures nearly 18 feet long, weighs 215 pounds, and was found with 122 developing eggs in its abdomen officials said. Biologists used “scout snakes” to find the oversized python which works by implanting radio transmitters into male snakes to help wildlife officials understand the patterns and movement of the animal.‘ [link to nbc-2.com (secure)] FAT WELFARE BITCH ILLEGAL ALIEN INVADER... |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 44532328 Glad I'm not the only one. I still feel every snake on the planet should be eradicated. Rodent population would surge but the rest of nature would take care of it. Snakes should go extinct. Cant argue they are the devils work I don't trust anyone who keeps these things as pets. If the evolutionary fear of snakes doesn't take hold of you when you see one something ain't right with you. Just my two cents. I'm very careful not to harm nature on my property but snakes are the exception. I kill everyone I see with no exception. They should all be eradicated. You're a retarded troglodyte who seems to need eradication more than any snake. |

Quoting: Billy Ringo They are doing everything they can to kill them. Since so much of FL coastline is port-of-entry, there are a helluva' lot of exotics coming in and due to whatever, end up in our natural environment. Late husband's uncle always carried a firearm on his cattle farm due to 4-legged and no-legged creatures he'd encounter. Ran into a big cobra at one of his cattle gates and missed shooting it. Everyone wore snake boots while working the ranch. These exotic snakes got into the everglades from hurricane Andrew. One of the pet chains had their reptile farm down there and the critters were released. |

The picture was taken somewhere along the Amazon River. Good chance that is the picture, once you realised that it was tree tops you were staring at you saw the thing . My grandfather during WW2 told this story about a Hugh snake that had eaten many people and animals somewhere in Africa and they had to hunt it and kill it ,now I am inclined to believe it |
