It’s because they realize that pharmaceutical companies are greedy and want to squeeze every penny out of the vaccines they already produced targeting the alpha strain. They could have made synthetic mRNA for one of the omicron or delta variant spike proteins last year quickly if they wanted to but they don’t because they are greedy and don’t want to spend the money for less profit. When they could just keep selling the existing batches that target the alpha strain.

The only agenda of any big corporation and government these days is money. Everyone just wants to make money.

Some day we may live in a future where we don’t need money… like in Star Trek.
