7000 year old structures as large as 5 football fields in Saudi-Arabia, connected to a cult predating Stonehenge

AlUla (a-l-u-l-a) is a vast region in northwestern Saudi-Arabia.

In a warm wet climate food (grain) is plentiful. If people can be distracted from fighting and kept busy building stone structures, then well fed populations can grow rapidly and build societies.

When cold times come, that's when trouble starts. We should be celebrating living through this mild (interglacial) period. It's just a shame we have now over exploited this abundant time.

no, what we know for sure is correct, we just leave out the earlier periodic cataclysms, all we know of is since the last one. So this is over 5000 years after the events that ended the previous civilizations. Multiple asteroid strike or solar micro flair, take your pick, although the solar flair could have had a mass ejection that was like a fire hammer of matter raining down...certainly there were electrical discharges as depicted on rock drawings

I've seen pics of that huge rock in Saudi Arabia that is cut perfectly in half like with a laser. I'd really like to see sites like that some day, Petra, Baalbek, etc... The hand of Hercules in Jordan is probably my number one destination!

Similarly, LIDAR technology has shown southern America (so far the Mayan areas in Yucatan and parts of the Amazon basin as far as i am aware) to have been teeming with human life centuries ago, even though all we see now is enormous expanses of tropical forest....

Reading that made me think back to Edgar Cayce's readings pertaining to The Persian Legacy, focused in Iraq. His readings (several hundred) focused on a unique civilization in the desert several thousands of yrs ago, a global trading mecca but so much more.

WTF is this? Looks like an impossible structure.

The Al Naslaa rock is a landform 50 km south of the Tayma oasis in Saudi Arabia. It is split down the middle into two parts, both balanced on small pedestals.[1] The overall shape of the rock may be due to wind erosion and chemical weathering that could have been possible due to the moist conditions in the protected underside of the rock.[2] It is split in two by what could be a joint, although the probability of it being that is questionable.

The rock is about 6 metres high and 9 metres wide, and is covered on its south-east face with numerous petroglyphs.[
