If you have no choice but to buy them, then only being able to access something you paid for by making a microtransaction, it's a form of bait and switch. Fraud, plain and simple. |

It gives you the illusion of freedom, makes you trust, love, and defend your oppressor, while making an enemy of those who are trying to free you or open your eyes.” -Fiyah “None are more hopelessly enslaved than those who falsely believe they are free.” -Johann Wolfgang von Goethe “You have been programmed to resist the very person that is here to set you free, from the prison of your Mind... Quoting: AxX You can also buy it for ~$408 and use it all the time. But... If you live in the south and don't want heated seats 12 months out of the year, you can optionally subscribe to it in Dec/Jan for $18/month. $36/year. If you don't want to sub for $18/month, BUY it for $408. Options. Not mandatory. THIS no one is forcing anyone to pay pay, or don't your choice Does this mean they won't charge me for the equipment that is already installed that I don't want? Yes. That's exactly what it means. Every car will get heated seats (or other options) whether they are ordered or not. If you paid $408, you get them turned on forever. Otherwise, no charge. Maybe I don't need remote car start, but it's installed? Don't have to pay for it unless I want to use it. Like leasing, it's a payment plan that isn't for everyone. Options are good, right? But the hardware isn't free. If i dont want it i am still forced to pay for the hardware, only now i get to pay extra if i actually want to use it |

Now you are paying a software gatekeeper to send power to your car seats. Then you'll be paying a monthly to allow the car to start. Then you'll be getting an itemized tab for every function of the car you use. All because it is software, and technically it didn't go any further. And the people who warned from the outset sadly were vindicated but now you have to pay rent to use basic functions on everything you buy - because of software, and the climate, or something. You'll own nothing and you'll be happy. |
