I don't think LSD is inherently bad. No psychoactive substance really is. Its all about what's going on inside YOU and what sort of shit YOU have bottled up.

My trips have been uncomfortable but not bad. Shrooms several times and LSD only once. I mean real LSD. I tried AL-LAD which is like the lite version. Its got a lot less of the mental fuckery and the same visuals until you get into higher dosages.

My one and only actual LSD was about 12 hours of laying in bed with my wife just being generally uncomfortable especially at the peak. I remember looking over to her and seeing if she was okay and she asked how I was. My only reply was "Everything is CHAOS.

Psychedelics are cool and all but I don't think I have had a good setting for them. As you might see the LSD experience was sitting in my girlfriend's (now wife's) room in her parents house doing absolutely nothing. We did shrooms once in her house and the main thing that ruined that trip was her sisters dog freaking out over fireworks and the dusty ass house in general. A light dusting on shelves in their kitchen looked like it was 3 inches tall. All this combined for some reason made me feel like I was slimy and in a dark cave.
