Black music was good up to the 90s, been downhill ever since, rap, hip hop that sort of bongo music with no musical quality, no meaning and full of sexual expletives and swear words, no thanks.

The temptations, four tops, back in the 60’s were great.
Then satan took over.

Black music used to be amazing and soulful but they got had like the rest of us..

I came out of the very early punk scene back in the 70's and from about '80, '81 I started discovering other genres, a lot of it "black", jazz, afro-beat and fuji music from Nigeria while still getting it on with experimental music, classic music, post-punk, the whole German neue welle and so much more....

When Public Enemy's It Takes A Nation album came out in '88 it hit me like a truck, it was like the black take on punk music to me and I was heavily into hip hop music for the next 20 years or so. It was the perfect sound track for how I was living my life back then in Rotterdam, growing weed in greenhouses all over Holland, distribution and selling it, working in cafe's and coffee shops, dj-ing on the side, sex, drugs & rock n roll and quite a bit of violence....

After moving to Indonesia in '96 I was still heavily into hip hop, got into the scene here which was still in it's infancy, basically they were just copying what they saw on the bits of MTV they were seeing, I produced a few albums here, came out with an album of my own working with some 20 Indonesian artists, but I started feeling it less and less, hated what hip hop was becoming, I couldn't stand the Jay Z's, Eminem's etc. and the direction they took it all in and I got completely out of it around 2008 or so, and the times that I get a mood for it and listen to some of the good ol' stuff, that almost never happens anymore... Where it once stood, for a big part, for sharing knowledge it's now, and has been for a long time, one big coca cola commercial, nothing but dumbing down crap....

Every now and then I stumble on something worthwhile, this guy Samson is great, spreading knowledge for example...



But as far as "black" music goes.... That's such a wide and diverse subject, so much good stuff really....

Oh and to address your main point WE ARE NOT AFRICANS! We descend from ASIATIC N3GROES like Paupa New Guineans, Melanesians, and Australian Aborigines do. And as a cursory image search will show you THEY ALL HAVE FULL BEARDS AND FACIAL HAIR. Mixed people do not look like N3groes, they are HYBRIDS.

Pathagoras laid down the laws of harmony and music centuries ago. He wasn't black and it would do them a world of good to have learned from him (Pathagoras). Maybe there would be less Rap music.

First of all, its Pythagoras, learn how to spell you inbred retard. Secondly, Pythagoras was merely studying what N3groes have done and known for centuries. Africans for example had harmonic competence (as shown in their tribal music) thousands of years ago that Europeans didn't reach until the 1400s. You're just ignorant and stupid.

Music requires pitch changes, and the greater the range that can be enounciated with control, the better the music tends to be. Warbling, screeching, and excess rhythm ruins it.
