It wasn't bad but is very nerve-wracking and you don't know what's going to be the side effects of the surgery! Let alone the status of the cancer! Before my husband had his cancer surgeries (4 different cancers) I had him supplement his diet with protein drinks. I had my dad do the same before his cancer surgery.
