If a certain ex- President was in office, the national media would be screaming every night blaming him. All we hear are crickets with the current inept administration in office. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 84891921 United States 12/08/2022 08:15 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | This is the most inept administration in the history of this country, in my opinion, of course! Secured historic investments in the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law – $7.5 billion for EV charging infrastructure and more than $7 billion for the critical minerals supply chains necessary for batteries, components, materials, and recycling. [link to www.whitehouse.gov (secure)] In addition to all of those billions going to Ukraine, our government is now going to spend billions more, over 14 billion to be exact, to put up electric vehicle charging stations nationwide! Talk about putting the cart before the horse! California can't keep the power on when people run their air conditioners in the summer now. Once this takes effect, there'll be power outages, with people plugging in their electric vehicles, all year long! With people already over 16 billion behind on their utility bills and winter here, you think our government could come up a better way to spend over 14 billion dollars? The stupidity of it all never ceases to amaze me! |

The federal government will not allow utility companies to turn off power to those who can't afford to pay their bills, especially during the winter. Just say you are an illegal caravan migrant that Senior Trump invited in 3 years ago and that collections should seek payment from the federal government. |

My wife and I were noticing yesterday that many Piedmont Natural Gas trucks have been roaming the neighborhood over the last month or so with regards to locking peoples gas mains. By then legislation will pass prohibiting shut off. Yawn. Next.. That's not necessarily true as to not get cut off is dependent on the state etc and you must meet the need for "Energy Crisis Assistance etc" at least in my state which many don't qualify for if you have income of any sort from any source. They still have to agree to pay and actually make payments so if you don't they can cut you off. [link to liheapch.acf.hhs.gov (secure)] GLP - "The greatest show on earth." |
