Washing your hands does not help your immune system

Yup. I've known this for decades.

Unless you got poop on your hands or something equally nasty, its better to just rinse them off than use most of the toxic soaps they sell nowadays.

A co-worker in the office who has pink-eye means I am washing my hands all day long. She came to work with "itchy eyes" for two days before going to an eye doctor and learning that she had pink-eye. Nasty.

It is not for your immune system that you wash your hands.

It is for everyone else's.


140 years agog Doctors in hospitals did not wash their hands between patients. 70% of patients would die.

When they made Doctors wash their hands between clients they didn't die of what the last guy had.


Studies have shown EVERYONE DIES.

Since everyone dies, why don't people get out and live life to the fullest?

Wearing gloves would seem to be a smarter solution to that. You wash your hands then you touch things again right? You don't get immunity to cross contamination by washing your hands, it only gets rid of bacteria that were already on your hands.

Again I'm not against washing your hands, but this logic that it will help your immune system is just false.

Soap has only been around several hundred years. How old is the planet?

My wife would just put lotion with toxins on them on her hands right before we go eat until I got her to stop. Is it smart to mix lotion with your food? Because essentially that's what she was doing.
