51 too, turning 52 in July. You stay young now, ya hear me?
Physically I'm exactly what I was 30 years ago (with a bit more muscle mass) and I can still do everything, and I mean everything I could do back then.
I don't get out of breath and I'm never sick. I never visit the doctor and I do physically demanding work daily.
You don't have to get old. Congrats.

Ohmygosh, I am LOVING my 50s!!! I hope you do too!

I just turned 56 The older folks always said time goes way faster as you get older. They did not lie about it. Do not waste one minute of your life.

Someone 12 years your elder, you should have already worked out that it's all down hill from the age of 35.

Also for someone who comes from a family of long lived, life after 80 sucks and by 90 all your friends are probably dead or house-bound.

The quality of life after about 80 is not great, worse still is the fact that the elderly also become pretty difficult and needy, they complain a lot and the smell of piss doesn't improve. Alternatively, dying suddenly of heart attack doesn't seem so bad (at least for the recipient).

I forgot to say, Happy Birthday (if that still makes you happy).

Finally got time to catch up. Kids and husband home today due to lousy weather. I normally home school the youngest but it would be pretty unfair for him to miss out on snow days.

Been craving a pineapple upside down cake so I put one together. Was very impressed with myself that I managed to flip that fucker perfectly onto the platter. Prepare for the worst but hope for the best!




I have always sucked at math and the sober part of my day went up in smoke. Is it 5?
