YESS THIS !! My vet told me the same thing! Also, the "vaccines" lead to weak tendons leading to torn ACL on dogs! I stopped giving my dog vaccines. She got her last rabies shot 6 months ago. Im sure its too late now but Im trying. As for fleas and ticks. give your dog Ivermectin. Its cheap and a tiny pill. Also, feed your dog small amounts of coconut oil. tick free

But then the question that comes to mind: what natural treatments/prevention are efficient against pests such as fleas and ticks? And i mean really efficient, apple cider vinegar is not good enough.

We got a shelter dog, they had him on heart worm and flea and tick. He couldn't eat anything except his regular dog food without bad diarrhea.

After a couple months I figured out the diarrhea was worse during the 1st 3 weeks after the pill.

Got him on the once a year heart worm and a different flea and tick and he's fine now.

If you don't give the dogs heart worm medicine they darn near throw you in jail.

Absolutely! I have a veterinarian friend who doesn’t give vaccines to his dog and cats beyond initial doses. I stopped too. Also refuse the flea and tick crap and just use natural deterrents.

i stopped vaccinating my dogs years ago just because i decided it didnt make sense. none of the vaccines for anyone or anything make sense. we all have immune systems. a dogs average life span is like 10 years, are vaccines going to make them live to 20? no. so what the heck is the point then, just injecting them with chemicals and PAYING for it because its not free. i had an english mastiff and a great dane, one died at 9 and one at 10. I believe they would have lived longer if i didnt get them any vaccines when they were young. the second half of their lives we didnt get them vaccines, just check ups. now the dogs i have have never had a shot of any sort, and if the vet suggests anything i just say no thanks.

what really good alternatives are there for fleas and ticks though? Letting ticks sting your dogs is also a health hazard.

I know all these "cat ladys" and they always have their cats at the vet all the time and getting their yearly shots, seems those cats don't live much past 7 or 8 years.

I have a 14-year-old rehomed "street cat", not feral, but raised in the city where he roamed a lot, he's only had kitten shots, and he does great. Matter of fact when I was working out in the woods yesterday he was with me every step, back and forth, and then raced me down to the pond where he loves to hang out.

I also have a 12-year-old cat who got most of her shots and she's not as healthy as my older boy. People literally freak out if you suggest all those shots aren't good for their animals.

My shepherd got lymphoma and died within a month of getting a rabies shot. She shouldn't have gotten one, she had one a year prior.
