You're joking, right? If not, that's a two-part answer: The first is your teens are not at risk for either severe illness or dying from Covid, but that only covers the part about the kids personally. As far as protecting others, the shots don't protect others, so your kids are not being selfish. It was never selfish to refuse to put your own life at risk to protect strangers, anyway.

As I, and another poster, pointed out, this is all about psychology at this point for people like Cernovich. His brain is trying to rationalize that he's going to be okay after taking the shots. That leaves him open to information that the shots are not helpful for children, but he must continue to believe that they are harmless (even if not helpful) at worst for people in his demographic. He's got a lot to live for, after all, and the thought that he may have poisoned himself is simply too much for him to bear.
