One broke through my backyard fence and chased my little dog around the yard several times until I finally got the glass door open and got her inside... The neighbor who owns it wouldn't help pay for repairs to my fence, and claimed the dog just wanted to play with my dog. It wasn't trying to play, it wanted to eat my dog. I can't even walk my dog in my neighborhood. 2 times Pitbull's have come running out of houses trying to get her. Just a few days ago as we were walking her, a man came out of his house and his Pitbull ran out behind him and tried to attack my dog. I had to pick her up to keep her safe. I was very concerned because of the way it was growling that it was going to attack me. The owner came running toward us and got the dog under control. He told me his dog had never done anything like that before. Another neighbor has a Pitbull that actually ran at me in my garage. I talked to her nicely, and that seemed to help but these dogs are scary and many times they attack for no reason at all. That poor man. Both of those effing dogs have blood all over their mouths. What are the three men trying to do? Why aren’t they shooting them? Sickening and terrifying how many of these psychotic dogs are running around in neighborhoods! That was my first thought - why the hell are those dogs still alive? Shot to the heads should have been the first thing to do. That poor man and those women. This disgusting breed needs to be completely culled. |

I drew my 9MM and shot two of the three. One was a pitbull. Three shots of hollowpoints to the chest at no more than five feet and that damn dog still wanted to kill me! Finally put a fourth shot through its head because I wanted to end its suffering. Quoting: PhysicsGeek I rode to a store, called 911, was met by two idiots who put me in handcuffs and arrested me for animal cruelty. I had a bit on my leg that was bleeding and the mother fuckers did not call an ambulance for me. I identified myself as a paramedic and firefighter and reserve police office (I was a tactical medic). After an hour of bleeding through myself applied bandage, a supervising deputy released me and drove me in his unit to the hospital. TLDR: Three shots to the chest and the pitbull was still coming albeit a diminished pace. The dog was dying and still trying to kill me! When animals are shot they dont know what that feeling is or means. I have hunted moose and black bear and even though hit with a 45/70 they continue to charge. |

Quoting: tiger1 I had a Staffordshire Bull Terrier mix(mom dog was AKC registered). Her father dog was a Mexican Pit Bull. She died several years ago at the age of 15. She never showed aggression. All of the neighborhood kids would play with her, and she would slobber every one of them. She was a sweet and gentle dog. I have a mean little Fox Terrier, who has bit me and my oldest daughter. She was a rescue from a shelter years ago, and is about 13-14 years old right now. The home she was taken from when she was 8 years old, was not good at all. She can be affectionate, but she is very much the "Queen" and harasses our other dog. She is a pint sized bully ! I also have a 4 1/2 year old Boxer/Pit mix, who was my late husband's "service" dog. She would alert us BEFORE he actually went into a seizure. She stuck to him like glue until he passed away from cancer almost 3 years ago. She is a highly intelligent, loving, and playful dog, and drags out all her toys so guests can play with her. She is also an excellent watch dog. She was an older puppy rescue. If you treat your dogs like family, you will have a good dog. If you treat them like a possession, you will have a bad dog. That is the exact same story told by everyone who has their PB attack someone. I heard it from the owner of the pit that attacked my boy when he was 10. 15 years with my Sheba, and never a problem. I have never understood this mentality. The dog that bit my son was about 5 years old and he never attacked until he did. It's a pattern, not the owners it's the breed. They have a higher tendency to attack those are just facts. I didn't make them up. A lot of dogs bite but few maul until you are dead. When something happens and your dog attacks someone maybe you'll remember this, but I doubt it. Pit owners are all the same. I been around pitbulls all my life and I am 59 years old and never once witnessed a pitbull attacking anyone. You do know that most these pitbull attacks are from dog fighting breeders who put those dogs through extreme abuse and even used as bait dogs. So fact is and I have seen how a lot of people that do have a pitbull chain the dog up to a poll for pretty much the duration of their lives which does in fact cause the dog to have zero trust in humans.
