Alot of people on SNAP are really struggling and screwed.


On the other hand, a lot of them buy all kinds of shit they dont need and dont actually use it for hardship food. I remember when I was on it during the pandemic I bought crab legs with it.

The point was for ppl like me whos job legit shut down to have money for food, but then once I started working again way back in 2020 i got off food stamps, that was after paying in most of my adult life and only using them once.

Now its been used to help ease the effects of massive food inflation, but we need to wake up to reality.

You're actually 100% correct. Companies like PepsiCo lobby Congress not to implement any restrictions on SNAP because the biggest items sold are junk food and soda.

Biden doesn't have anything to do with it. If you're not getting your regular allotment its your state's fault for not taking advantage of the federal funds offered to them. In California for instance people are keeping their maximum regular SNAP amount, and only losing the extra pandemic allotment.
