You could survive with absolutely nothing when you have them by your side. That is not saying to not have basics. But many times you will be caught off guard. Things happen we cannot for see. We need them. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 86388158 United States 10/09/2023 11:21 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | It really doesn't matter where or when it's a great list to read if you are seriously getting ready for when the SHTF. Actually it is not that great. The list shows itself to be made by someone who does not have first hand info. for instance, Dried wood is not always the best. It burns hotter and faster, (meaniing you go through it a lot faster). It is some what easier to light, but that should not be a problem for an experienced user. A mix of both seasoned and un seasoned wood is good in most climates. It makes a more even heat and lasts longer. i could delve into other mistakes, half truths, ect on the list but why bother. It is good for wantabe preppers only. |

Quoting: Malleus I've tried about half a dozen different kinds of manual can-openers and they all break after 2-3 months of moderate use. Swing-away are the only can openers I buy - far superior to others I last found them a couple years ago at Big Lots for $5 on sale Probably 2x that now Lasts over 10 years so far |
