I think that they had to convict him, or more riots would have broken out.

He's supposed to say "hmm..looks like you did something you shouldn't have, May I please cuff you?"

to which the offender will reply, "of course, no problem, I want to go back to prison"

Even tho Floyd died by fentanyl overdose as per the toxicology report. It is also true that the police did not render proper medical care at the time of the arrest and disregarded his pleas for medical assistance.

One thing they train you in the police force, is when a person requests medical assistance, you have to provide it, due to liability reasons...

It's true allot of criminals fake injury or a medical condition so they can go to the hospital and not the holding cell. It taxes the system and wastes precious man-hours. But you HAVE to give a reasonable amount of effort to provide medical assistance, otherwise you are in trouble.

At best, it's a violation of policy and you will be reprimanded. At worse, you could be thrown in jail like chouvin

Absolutely. It was a preventive measure. If Chauvin hadn't been convicted, it's very likely riots like in LA would have ensued.

Clearly something else was going on apart from the cop choking him.

So this means they did this knowing full well the cop was in grave danger.

If all he says is I can't breathe it doesn't mean he is coherent.

They didn't stop the LA riots from happening after the Rodney King beating.

And he was only beaten, he survived pretty well. He was a solid big guy (I don't know if all the beating was justified but he did resist arrest and, as I said he was a big guy).

I think the entire Floyd situation is fake news.
