Plus, government can’t change words at the press of a button. Quoting: NimbusAurelius So yeah, I prefer books on paper. The question isn’t about preference It’s about if people get the same benefits from reading on a phone that they would reading a book. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 82073619 But is it actually beneficial? I think it would be nearly unanimous that reading books is a positive thing. Does that translate to less regulated (unpublished) digital mediums? I think that anything good is buried in a mountain of crap now. If you get Amazon Kindle's deal where you get 10 free kindle books, it doesn't take long to find out that it's just a mountain of crap. If there is any good in there you'll never find it. In the days of real books, in real libraries, with real librarians, you could find what you were looking for. You wouldn't search something, then have to go through 100 books of complete garbage to find one average book. It will get worse with AI automatically producing more mountains of garbage. |

Thus then, the mind benefits from reading on a phone, computer etc. Fear God and Dread Nought. |

Doctors are reading and writing on higher level (assumption). So, does reading an online comic (low level) have the same stimulation for the brain? Not in knowledge gained but the act of exercising the mind, which is what you seemed to be talking about 2. Does reading digitally/on a screen impact our minds differently than on paper? |
