i think people fuck themselves up. maybe ai will contribute, but i mean, it won't be doing anything that hasn't already been done by humans. or, that they wouldn't do if they could...

Machiavellian type AI would take out leadership control first, then communications. Chaos creates its own rewards. All you have to do is observe insect hive hierarchy. Take out the queen (leadership) and the hive goes insane. A society based upon central control leadership will be decapitated until new leadership is inserted.
