I can't imagine going out of my way to travel to see an eclipse
I can't even imagine myself traveling for anything, anymore?

Why are people so entertained by this world?

It's boring.

Doom and gloom is boring.

Happiness is boring.

Wtf?

I'm about to have a new baby and I feel guilty for it, because I'm bringing a new life into a useless, tedious existence.

My kids will never get to experience a childhood that I was so blessed to live...in a constant state of being "unaware."

I guess the only reason I live now is to give them a glimpse of how good things used to be before this whole planet became a stronghold for evils.

I've seen it, goggles off.

Not worth it.

I live in one of the most beautiful places on earth and an eclipse passed us in recent history.

I don't worship the Sun.

If you have the money go for it. I’d have to max my credit card for a flight with a rental car. And that’s betting against the weather as well.

I still can’t decide but my recent accident wants me to stay home I think. I’ll likely drive out of the city if the weather is clear, though.

I've seen one, in rural NW America.

It's not worth it.

I used to be fascinated with everything cosmos.

But I can understand why people in the cities crave to see such an event.

I really do feel bad for city folk.

All you have ever known is sound and light pollution. Sad.

But it took you probably 30 seconds to read and interact with my post.

I hope you have reached your maximum capacity.

aint that the truf... you can sit on your porch and see an ellipse at least a dozen times in a life-time ...

all the hype is just preparing us to accept martial law, see gov as your defenders ... i wouldn't be surprized if UN troops also showed up ... to 'protect' us

save us from our lack of emotional mastery and our ignore-ance of what is normal - zombies need constant supervision

the only positive thing that might come of this 'drill' is that more people have bought emergency food and are feeling more INDEPENDENT ... these things always backfire, because AI is clueless about humans innate desire for SELF sufficiency

When I was a kid in grade school I remember the teacher giving us this little piece of cardboard frame with tinted film in it so we could watch the eclipse. I remember being bored but was glad to be out of the classroom.

Honestly, I don't think I have given any thought to ever seeing one again.

Feels like everyone has lost their goddamn minds.

It's just an eclipse.

Most humans are programed to seek others. They want to do what others are doing, be where others are and talk about the things the masses talk about.

Then you weren’t the totality, and that’s what people travel to see. You don’t need glasses, and it gets dark at night. I was in the totality of the last one, and it’s like nothing you’ve ever experienced in life before.

Everyone is not the same

If you have not figure IT out by now you will never figure IT out.

8 billion people on the planet and there is a large percentage of people that do not think the same as you.

Does not take a genius to understand that everyone is NOT the same.
