If you have the money go for it. I’d have to max my credit card for a flight with a rental car. And that’s betting against the weather as well.

I still can’t decide but my recent accident wants me to stay home I think. I’ll likely drive out of the city if the weather is clear, though.

When I was a kid in grade school I remember the teacher giving us this little piece of cardboard frame with tinted film in it so we could watch the eclipse. I remember being bored but was glad to be out of the classroom.


Honestly, I don't think I have given any thought to ever seeing one again.

Saw some vid from a dude who traveled probably 8-10 hours for the last one. pretty damn cool. looked worth it to me.

You sound awful and fuck you for bringing a child you have no hope for into this world. They’ll feel that lack of love and grow hating you.

Then you weren’t the totality, and that’s what people travel to see. You don’t need glasses, and it gets dark at night. I was in the totality of the last one, and it’s like nothing you’ve ever experienced in life before.

I am 62 an have seen multiple full solar eclipse it cool yes but its not as awe inspiring as you are making it out. if you have never seen it you will think wow thats cool.
