30 years for child abuse seems excessive to me. Is because the children weren't register with the state? No Birth Certificate and Social Security number.
Who has the children now?

If you knew what these two did you would know it is only by the grace of God that none of the children died from their injuries or medical neglect. Under Oregon Law felony child abuse is punishable by 5.2 years per charge. The "parents" where found guilty on st least 10 charges and the 21 years for RD and 28 years for GD is actual a GIFT.
In my view most parents do not get enough prison time for child abuse. But at least in Oregon the tied is turning. Another pair of child abusers the Kozlov's each took a plea of 12 years for abusing their seven children. Interestingly, just like the with Drown's the nuts have all come out from hiding to blog about the "injustice".
I have to wonder why two "innocent" people each accepted a plea for twelve years. Don't you?
