Mopar, they're just a rat with a bushy tail...I have a baby boom here EVERY spring. They are all cool though and don't really mess anything up. (Other than dig holes in my yard looking for acorns.)

I had one a few days back that I was scolding about digging in my yard. It just sat there and looked at me...I was putting fresh water in a bird bath and he/she walked across my right foot and went over to an oak tree in my drive and went up about chest high. I kept scolding it and it just looked at me like WTF.

I've also got a family of cotton tail rabbits that graze out in my front yard. Seems they like the dandelion crop I grow every year. LOL...Believe it or not, they've never bothered my garden...I can get close to them and they don't get spooked.

They all know somehow that I'm no threat....

yeah...those damn dirty squirrels.

Its a squirrel relocation device.

Ground squirrels have cost us thousands in chewed wiring, in the house, cars, trucks, 5th wheel, tunneling in driveway causing a broken axel... they are anything but cute! Right now we have them trying to break in through the roof. I expect they are coming with switchblades this time, but I have a big bucket of surprise for them. Oh so yummy, but deadly. It worked so good two years ago, I forgot to put it out last spring, so this spring I have big squirrel problems again.

Like those that know this evil creature have already said - they are just bigger rats.

Squirrels will also strip your fruit trees faster than a dog can trot. They love peaches, apricots, plums, cherries, you name it. If you want to have a nice little orchard in squirrel country you will have to make a choice between your produce or the squirrels. I have also watched them enjoy my garden. It's amazing - a squirrel can pick an eggplant bigger than he is and run like lighting before you know what hit you.
