I get the feeling the state is really punishing people for having children.

Probably just another front in the war to depopulate the planet?

Since when does the man have any say in anything? She can keep it or abort it. He gets no say.

Why do we reward a mother that can't support the children she has with free housing, welfare checks, free medical, free schooling, free food and now a free cell phone.... but a man who isn't working but had kids gets sent to prison????? Come on ladies, I thought we were for equality.

And I'm not condoning the unsupporting man. I'm just saying there are not enough jobs to go around. Not everybody can be one of Obama's construction workers. How about the woman give her kids to the man and she works to support them while he's struggling????? I don't want to pay for any more prisons to be built and manned.

pay for it. A man should have the discretion to allow her to make
the baby a bastard-child, and in reality the woman decides this.

Because in the end, judges also award custody of the child
to the mother 95 percent of the time.

Funny. My ex is way behind in child support/medical reimbursement and I've never had free housing, welfare checks, free medical, free schooling, free food or a free cell phone. Sad thing is, he has means to pay and just doesn't. Don't put us all into the same category.

Sorry if you took it that way, I certainly didn't mean that all women do that because I'm a divorced and remarried woman. I get $50 a week and my daughter would it whether her dad helped or not. I'm sure you are taking good care of yours in spite of the father. My only point is that the law is lopsided in regards to the non supporting parents. how would the women feel if the kids were given to the men and he was given a free ride and the mother was put in jail if she couldn't keep up on support. Women know they will be supported therefore it is risk free for those who want to take advantage.

Yes, but since she is ultimately responsible for the child all choices are hers.

No matter what decisions men make, those children have to be cared for daily. Daycare, food, clothing, etc. are on her to provide. She is just blessed if you reimburse her for some of the cost.

This should be taught in school. Teachers need to take a class and give them all OPTIONAL chores. The payment for chores done should be free time. At the end of each week the kids who earned the free time should have to split it with the girls that didn't bother and the boys should be sent to detention.

Kids do best with both parents involved in their life. Right now we pay women to keep the Dad away. Child support goes up if there is less time for Dad. Why stay married...just cash in ladies. Make up some false abuse allegations to ensure favorable terms. Oh yes, and the various social programs out there pay more if Dad is not around. Bye Dad!
