Anonymous Coward User ID: 9231012 United States 10/17/2012 04:20 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | We have fishing gear, guns, ammo. I know how to trap small animal very well. Wash clothes? Washboard? Cloths pins? wth? = Just soak laundry in a bucket of lake or rain water over night, no scrubbing really needed, hang across a bush, fence or rail to dry it. I have 2 huge yet portable solar panels that charge a deep cell 12 volt battery for necessary lights. I know how to rig an old dish networking antenna up to make a solar cooker. I know how to make tepid/warm bathwater the same way. Magnifier glass for fire starting, works every time. We have medical drugs, antibiotics and more. While you do have some good small items on your list, your camp/survival site is going to be robbed very quickly due to your extravagant outdoor lifestyle. You don't need all that. And dog food?! Again wtf? I hope your planning on being inside your house because when water systems go offline and everyone's house back floods with human faces from the sewage plants, good luck. In the real world of no power homes will become shit holes pretty fast. People are going to be leaving homes in masses and releasing their "big dogs" because they can;t afford to feed them. The dogs are going to run in packs and get hungry and hunt man. You really think your "Big dog" can survive an attack of 10+ other dogs? Maybe you should reread your item #17 again but with a more realistic view on what will be taking place in the real world. The more you have will just make you one of the first targets. |

I get the feeling most days that all I need is a toothbrush, comb and a few clothes and shoes. I so want to live as a minimalist. I'm female but pretty old now. ;) |
