Yeah, I got fucking sick and tired of waking up wheezing and coughing myself into the day. Not to mention smelling like an ashtray 24/7. Oh yeah, and the absurd amount of money I've spent.

I agree. I suppose I'm trying to encourage others because I've never felt so good about quitting. All the times I've quit before it didn't feel definitive. This feels different and because I know how frustrating it can be I thought I'd throw it out there.

Well hats off to ya!!! i sincerely hope you hang in its tough but i did it others did it YOU CAN TOO!!!!!heres some inspiration for you dont replace the craving with candy in all its forms rofl i ended up with high triglycerides because the sugar input was huge i replaced my fix with a fix lol so i had to undo that one .Anyway YOU WILL FEEL A MASSIF I MEAN A MASSIF SENSE OF ACHIEVMENT IF YOU PERSEVERE THE HEALTH BENFITS THAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE ARE TREMENDOUS LIKE I SAID EARLIER THE LUNG CAPACITY GETS WAY BETTER AFTER TIME AND YOU CAN DO THAT BIT MORE.the coughing up shit will die right off,wheezing will stop,importantly,the health of your blood will kick start drink tons of water like you said you do it doesnt half promote detoxification and also gives the blood system a huge overhaul and kkeeps those blood cells on ther oes ALL IN ALL THE PAIN IS WELL WORTH IT!!!!! Ten years now for me. Bosses smoke upstairs and the smell literally makes me sick.

Bloody hell im into oil pulling and and all sorts of stuff my dental hygiene hasnt been this good since i was a teen lol.Imagine this no one ever tells you when you have dog breath do they?lol so just go back to when we were smoking and imagine the times we had foul breath and we were unaware we may have repulsed someone lol.Packing in smoking is like being born again health wise.

The thing i notice the most is the smell on clothes on hair on skin that the morning after the night before hardened cig smoker smell its putrid.hard beer and cigs the fumes knock you over lol

What methods have other posters used to pack in ?electric cig,patches,pills,placebo shit. or just good old medieval torture 'COLD TURKEY'? I went for cold turkey i knew i was kidding myself any other way so i thought instead of pissing around in the shallow end like a complete ponce i just took a plunge in the deep end. I couldnt even begin to tell you how i did it i dont know myself at times and there were a few i was so close to a cig it was like pulling back from ejaculation

I had my last cigarette 17 months ago.

I didn't go cold turkey, but cut right down and then used a nicotine inhaler over a period of about four weeks.

And remember, it's specific sights/sounds, surroundings, emotions, tastes/smells that trigger the desire for a cigarette/your_habit_here.

Recognize the trigger situation when it's happening, and realize it's just the last traces working their way out of your body and consciousness... it can't control you.

Good Luck OP. I tried but relapsed I'm thinking about giving it another go soon. Are you doing it cold turkey or are you on nicotine gum/losenges etc?
