There were a lot of pagans and magicians and spell casters in Jesus time.

Lots of drunks and addicts and tax men swindlers. Prostitutes and street workers.

Why didnt Jesus curse them and condemn them?

Why did He hang out with them and eat and drink in their homes and laugh with them?

Why didnt he hang out with the ones who wore the robes and hung out in the temple and knew the scriptures backwards?

Why did he disdain the teachers of the law and the holy oh so learned scribes?

Why did he hang with the ordinary sinner and not the established religion of the day?

Why?

For a start they (The sinners) had true hearts. They were not hypocrites. They didnt go around with two faces on, and they really wanted to do the right thing even though they were being tricked, they were sincere.

His heart was for the "Sinners", not with the scripture quoting holier than thou religious ones, because they (The sinners) were fertile ground and not rocky stony hard ground(The pharisee religious ones).

They were open to the truth. But the pharisees were a closed as clams with a muscle cramp when it came to recieving the good news. They just didnt want to know. They thought they had arrived, and like the pharisees of today that this thread deals, with they cursed and spit at Jesus for exposing their hypocrisy.

It was the religious ones who had him killed. It was always the religious ones who saw all the great things he did, but still said right to his face "You are possessed and have a demon" etc.

They hated Jesus because he took away their power of fear.
He destroyed their yoke of slavery to laws and do's and dont's and replaced it with love and mercy and compassion..the three things dark hearts just cannot abide.

You mention those three things around pharisees of today and they explode..they need their God of death doom and justice and hellfire because it makes them feel superior and justifies their evil treatment and manipulation of the ones they hold in bondage, and makes them a ton of cash as they bilk "Offerings" from the already struggling sheep.

They love control and self righteousness, and fume and hate if its threatened with anything as "Evil" as love compassion or mercy"

The darkness hates the light and will fight against it but it cannot win.

The Good news they have turned into terror and blackmail.

Mercy they have exchanged for harsh judgment and death.

Compassion they have turned into merciless haughty arrogance.

They have taken everything Jesus ever stood for and everything He died to secure for mankind and turned it into a money making power grab and upended all his teachings for what is diametrically opposite to them.

They are of the darkness whole and complete and will stop at nothing until every "Sinner" is screaming in their man invented hell while they sit on a throne somewhere and say with snide haughty hate.."I TOLD you so you vile sinner..GET what you deserve...now BUUUUURN!!

But the truth is the opposite.

God is not on their side.

He despises the modern preachers of today with their sermons of money and hell and works and fear.

He loathes the modern chutches with their never ending "Entertainments" and programs.

He shakes his head sadly at the condition of the sheep.

Bedraggled and sick. Swindled of their will and cash, their minds blsated with fear of hell and doom, never free and always under the yoke of the money changers who set up their tables of dark commerce in the foyer of every church.

The time has come now for the fake church, the pharisee run church to fall, and the sheep to be set free.

The time has come to proclaim the ral "Good" news that you are loved as you are.

He looks down on the athiests and the agnostics and the evolutionists and opens his arms and hearts to you in compassion and love saying "Come unto me and rest for I amd compassionate and merciful"

There is no need to fear the hell and the yoke of the religios hypocrites. They are not of the "Way" and they are for everything I stand against.

Whether you beleive in the Lord or not He beleives in you and will bring you home one way or the other.

He is very capable of mending and moulding a heart. But if its a cold haughty heart that thinks its already whole and spits fear at others there is not much room for Him to work as its hard to get through to people who "hear only what they want to hear and know only what they heard".

Leave the churches now. Leave behind the religios dogma that has kept you bound for centuries. Leave the hate and the fear behind and seek within for there resides the true kingdom. Not in a book or a pastor or a sermon but in your heart. There is where the Lord of the "Good news" will meet you.

When he said "Repent" he was not talking about a "Sinners prayer" or going to church and doing all that stuff.

To repent means simply "To change ones mind and to despise evil and embrace good"

Treat others as you want to be treated. Love others and forgive them. And so He will forgive you.

He is not interested in lables but in hearts.

And THATS the gospel...
