The sad truth is that nothing will, probably, end up happening to this cop. Escalating rule of force allow him to subdue her like that if she is continuing to resist.

BUT does he have to? It is a 72 year old woman. I will admit that i was in several combat tours while this cop seems to have a Napoleon complex, but i am very sure i could have handed a drunk 72 year old woman a machete and disarmed her with no harm to myself or the woman. Please know that a lot (not all) cops live for these moments. I spent a very short time after i left the service as a leo. These kinds of things would get bragged about in locker rooms, earn nicknames and sometimes earn promotion. I decided the their business of "danger" just wasnt quite for me. God bless the good ones. But if they want to flex their tough guy muscles, i know a few afghani provinces needing some guns still. The pay is the same :)

Give him life in prison, Police should be sent to prison when they violate our laws. They should be forced to live in general population also.
My wife and I will never pull over for an officer at night, we will call 911 and let them know we are driving to the police dept before stopping. No one trust cops anymore, what a shame.

In my experiences with the law I was always pleasant, honest, and respectful and on more than one occasion I was mistreated. Yes it is true more often than not if you are respectful you are treated with respect, funny how they always have a way of being douche bags though. In this particular case, it doesn't matter what the woman said, even if she was slightly resisting, she is old, drunk, and she is no match for a couple of men, and they had no business tossing her down with that much force.
