THIS THREAD IS FOR REAL PEOPLE of ALL AGES DOING REAL PHYSICAL WORK FOR LOW WAGES NOT YOU BIG-ASSED POLITICAL AND ECONOMIC THEORISTS SITTING AROUND SHOOTING EVERYTHING AND EVERYONE DOWN FROM THE COMFORT OF YOUR ANONYMOUS COMPUTERS. IF YOU WANT TO TALK NASTY, AT LEAST GET A NAME, GET A LIFE. Don't make uncivil comments using an AC!

The Time has come again. If they won't raise our minimum wage federally, we can still ACT. And the sooner we act, the sooner they will have to raise our minimum wage.

We can organize, but not necessarily in the same old way. We can organize, whether we work in states and companies that allow unions or not. Why? Because nowadays we have the INTERNET. ha ha -- NOTHING CAN HOLD THE AMERICAN WORKER DOWN! Never has been able to, never will be able to!

AMERICAN WORKERS, START WHEREVER YOU ARE!

IF YOU ARE UNEMPLOYED: take any job that will hire you, and if they won't give you a decent wage, QUIT! Leave them in the lurch! Stop letting them take advantage of you by paying you a wage that is too low.

Do what is right, and KNOW that God is leading you UPWARD ^^^^^^^^^^^^^ to a Better Life.

NO NEED to fume about President Obama or about what Congress is or is not doing...Just ACT yourself, in your own position, however high or low.

IF YOU ARE EMPLOYED: Speak the TRUTH on your job. ASK politely your boss and your boss's boss for what you need and what you want. Hang in there, do a good day's work, communicate truthfully and with respect with everyone around you on the job. Hang in there, but if they don't treat you nice, stay as long as you have to, then go wherever you can earn RESPECT and a BETTER WAGE.

AMERICAN WORKERS, we are blessed in that we can still travel anywhere we want to IN or OUT of AMERICA.

No need to be ugly. Protest. Protest with PEACE and CLARITY.

America is still one of the best places in the world to live and work. We still have ingenuity and grit.

IF YOU ARE EMPLOYED: Be proactive on your job. Communicate clearly and politely and truthfully with your coworkers and your customers and your bosses (TALL ORDER, I know). But that is life, that is work. Learn something new every day from the bosses, the customers, the coworkers. If you can do all this, NOTHING CAN REALLY KEEP YOU DOWN. Give a little, invest in your future.

Even if you can't afford to go to school, if you can do all this, you are giving yourself an on-the-job education, and you are a VALUABLE WORKER. So ask and ask again for that raise you need. If your employer cannot value you as such, QUIT! YOU ARE A VALUABLE WORKER DESERVING OF A RAISE AS LONG AS YOU ARE STILL PRODUCTIVE AND CIVIL AND STILL ABLE TO LEARN AND GROW>>>>>>>>>>>

If YOU ARE A BOSS: THIS APPLIES TO YOU, TOO! ACT! Nothing is worse than a lazy and uncommunicative boss. Promote the hardworking and the deserving. Communicate clearly and positively and politely with everyone. BE A LEADER. Why has your life elevated you to this position if not to lead? Remember, you hold POWER. When a worker feels safe and respected and valued, she can produce. When a worker can produce, the company wins. SO MAKE SURE THE WORKERS ARE WINNING AS WELL.

PAY WORKERS SOMETHING THEY CAN LIVE ON------------->so that they are free to be not only productive workers, but GOOD CITIZENS. Pay them something they can live on so that they can be not only good citizens, but members of thriving, happy families.

And if you are a boss who cannot see what a thriving, happy family has to do with the American GrossNationalProduct----well, just QUIT, because you are a lousy boss anyway......ha ha If you are a boss who does not realize that you would be nowhere without the American workers, I feel sorry for you because you have NO IDEA what is about to go down......
