I dont speak Estonian, but can understand the value of Euros. seems cheap but what is the quality of life? Quality of life is how you make it. Cheap houses, cheap cost of living, low taxes. A couple of days ago, I had a conversation with a Tunisian guy and I liked what he said. Cheap, politically stable country, low crime rate and of course plenty of sun. All depends on what your priorities are. Is it good weather, low taxes, cheap houses, low crime rate, employment, etc. Let us know and perhaps rank them. I did plenty of research on various countries. I might be able to help. |

I was going to say not to think it's easy too, but sounds like you already realize the hard work involved. I had no debt and no money. I left at 19 years old with a back pack from Colorado. Where I wasn't able to support myself well. I started volunteering on organic farms. It's usually short term work. Then worked my way up to being a live in gardener at some rich people's estate. I have my own space to grow my good and raise ducks. It works for me! Living on the land very minimally. Don't have a money to buy land though. Good luck fellow land person! I love you! |

Hannah User ID: 46689110 United States 03/18/2014 07:44 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I remember recently reading some posts about a lot of military stuff in Sandpoint Idaho... Where is there not I suppose? Hawaii is a big military whatnot as well. I'm in a very rustic area and don't see anything like that here though. Do you want to produce fruits, veggies, meat or whatever, for market? Or mostly for subsistence? Either way, I think it's very helpful to spend some time on an existing organic farm in the area to learn some helpful techniques specific to your chosen climate. It's such a wonderful, satisfying life! I'm so happy for you! |

There are all kinds of simple life places back east. |
