Quoting: Anonymous Coward 57192322 Did you see "Golden Compass" OP? Agreat movie, I heard it is three books I wonder if they are making a sequel? Well, my family really wants me to date him because he's one of the richest people/family in my town..but I think people who hate cats and dogs, are insensitive in other areas..shallow, and self centered...agreed? BTW..i do not love money..I like to have nice things, which I seldom get, but hell..arent there decent people with decent incomes out there? |

You'd do better on Craigslist Quoting: Too Dark Park Ive been here for over 9 years..I KNOW its not a dating site, although I met someone I dated for awhile here. One of the most prominent people in my town, he owns a big business, has a fabulous house on the river..etc..bla bla Quoting: HellcatMaggy Anyway, he doesnt like cats, and I dont trust people who dont like cats, there's just something about a cat-hater that doesn't sit right with me. Ive been single for so many years, and my dad is pretty much pushing me to date, he is tired of fixin' my stuff..I know GLP isnt a dating forum, but ffs, the dating sites are full of fat, ugly, boring people. Im not perfect, by all means, but I'd like someone a little like me..conspiracy minded, crazy, and hangs out on GLP..and likes cats.. and not 350 pounds...GLP really should make a subsidiary dating site. Would you settle for feeds a stray cat, 220lbs ,6 ft 1, not ugly but not a pretty boy either? But seriously, you'll find someone if you look in the right places, and I'm going to be blunt, the society pages ain't it. |

And I like your idea of a conspiracy dating site. If we have "christian mingle" then why not "conspiracy tingle" ... |

Quoting: Sikhed And cats can't be controlled; they're free spirits. The thing that bothers me about this cat lover deal is that the people who like them seem to completely overlook the fact that they are vicious killers. Their love for animals stops at the poor innocent little creatures they kill for fun, which is confusing and i wish a cat lover would try to explain that to me. is it just cats you like, not all animals? Why just cats if that's the deal? Most people who don't like them see them as serial killers, but the reality is it's just instinct. I have no problems with a well controlled cat but the thing is controlling one is damned near impossible. Every put a cat on a leash? |

Anonymous I.D.W. User ID: 57671576 United States 05/04/2014 02:00 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Reality: One domesticated cat will kill over a thousand animals in it's lifetime. The victims range from baby birds that have fallen from a nest to rats and mice, which no one really faults them for [except rat lovers I suppose]. The point is that it should not be difficult to understand why a compassionate person who loves animals would hate cats, or at least not 'love' them. I am indifferent to them and see them as just another of gods creatures doing it's thing, but I cannot deny it pisses me off to see a cat taunt my dogs, shit in my garden or stalk my bird feeder like it's a fast food restaurant. they're easy animals to not like. |

And they're so proud when they bring back a rat or mouse to show it off. The fact that they're killers doesn't bother me in the least. :doom360: |

Yes..they are "hunters" by nature..and Im very sad when they kill a bird, because I love birds, as well, or a little shrew, or a bunny..but if you feed your cats well, they dont tend to hunt as much..they ARE predators, but cats have a nature unlike other animals..they are NOT co-dependent like dogs..now understand this..THIS is why I dont trust people who dislike cats..cats are very like humans in the fact that they act like they dont need you..they like to treat you as a slave, basically..so they KNOW what they want and they wont settle for less..do you see what im gettin at? |

Chase and kill cats, chase and kill (if I could catch it) a squirrel? Deer demolished my garden AND the fence surrounding it. Coyotes prey on cats and small dogs. Rabbits will decimate the garden you need to feed your own children if you're a farmer. Horses have been known to attack. Cats were endowed by their creator with incredible hunting skills. That is how they SURVIVE, dickwad. I mean, seriously dude, all animals have an aggressive side. If you are going to hate any animal because it has built-in behaviors that you disapprove of, then basically you're an animal hater. |
