Quoting: Zapata Over 1,000 policemen are closing entries to the town. They broke in schools and are assaulting young women and older adults. Why? Because the people is protesting against the construction of a conduct of water. The village is unique in the City which has the only natural spring and the goverment is diverting the water to a corporate area. This natural spring satisfy the village´s water need. Order were given by Mexico city governor Miguel Angel Mancera I saw some of the report on TELEVISA last night as I went out for dinner. I saw people really fired up. Mars is turning around and will oppose Uranus and square Pluto and Jupiter again... soon. I expect more trouble, soon. |

Around 100 to 120 people were injured in what has been over a year long struggle to keep the towns spring from being diverted and overused. The tension began in the morning, when, guarded by 1500 riot police officers, workers of the Water System of Mexico City (Sacmex) resumed laying pipe on the old road to Mixcoac. As they have done in the past, the townspeople rang the church bells to warn people to guard the spring. People armed with pipes, sticks and stones, tried to prevent the construction. Reports are saying that 50 to 70 of the towns people were injured during the resistance, many of them hospitalized, and some seriously injured. 4 policeman were overtaken, and 2 of them seriously injured and hospitalized. 50 other policeman were injured, and several police vehicles were destroyed. Both Americans and Mexicans have a big problem with fucking corporations and the immoral politicians they pay off. Thing is, the 'governor' doesn't own that water and cannot sign it off to anybody. This is only a case of 'might makes right.' I heard some of the drug cartels down there don't have as much to do now that some U.S. states are legalizing pot, so maybe they could go help those people against the governor's gestapo? |

This is only a case of 'might makes right.' I heard some of the drug cartels down there don't have as much to do now that some U.S. states are legalizing pot, so maybe they could go help those people against the governor's gestapo? There´s a rumor that the cartels are arming the people. In fact in recent months Mexico has seen a rise of self defense militia in places like Michoacan and Guerrero. Some think that this is the seed of a revolution. So the Government action is to give them job as rural policemen. Imagine!! People without preparation with a level of high school armed and working for corrupt politicians. The militias, formed by citizens who armed themselves as protection against the violence inflicted by the narco cartel, claim that the federal government’s plan to restore peace to the region has, so far, failed. As the self-defense groups expanded in the past year, President Enrique Peña Nieto decided to legalize part of the movement, transforming them into “country police,” so that they may function more as backup to the federal security efforts in Michoacan. The government’s ultimate goal is to “rid all of Michoacán of the Knights Templar,” they said. The Knights Templar is cartel with operations in central Mexico with tears streaming down my face. The Cerezo Committee will present a detailed report that includes details on how the Federal Government has trained elements of special forces of the army. Now those special forces have betrayed the government and operate as part of the Organized crime as "Los Zetas" or in some sectors of the self-defense forces of Michoacán. In the time that Enrique Peña Nieto has been at the forefront of the Federal Government, civil rights violations have increased in percentage way with actions implemented by military, paramilitary and federal elements whom the Government trains. [link to comitecerezo.org] Thank you for this link. I think you know already that we really don't hear very much of what's going on in Mexico and our proximity isn't helping. The federales have always been enemies of the people! They are only thugs being trained by other thugs. There's a lot more history of bad federales in Mexico than there ever was of 'bad drug gangs' but not many Americans know it. Perhaps seeing our own government acting no better will encourage more of us to compare notes with other countries on the same modus operandi. Let us hope that 'seed' germinates well and becomes a big forest. |
