Yes that is him. I came upon his old book Life Among the Apaches. Very interesting read. Looked to find he is one of the founders of bohemian grove. He gives off very mixed impression but always a strong determined knowing in his choices.

Going through huge mound builder territory this past week has brought up the legends of the entities within the structures.

I wrote a little about it last year around this time when I went to the reservation.

Funny enough, their dress and language was what distinguished them apart from the tribes that lived around the mounds. One appeared out of no where to drive back the enemy and the rest appeared pouring out of the mounds. The were called the Immortals. Nunehi by tribes. They could become invisible. When finished with their task they go back into the side of the mounds.

I never read about the origins of the club and it seems it wasn't nearly as creepy as what it evolved into lol. It was established in 1872 for journalists, musicians, actors and artists but was "commandeered".

'SPIDERS.--While the great Serpent Mounds have captured the most public interest among the Mound Builders' relics, the Spiders have the greatest fascination for me, personally. While exploring among the South Sea Islands some fifty years ago I constantly came across legends about the Grey and Black Pointed Spider. These legends showed that the Spider was symbolic of something, and that it was a sacred symbol,but of what I could not determine. The legends were all too obtuse. As examples:

"There the Grey and Black Pointed Spider would have mounted to Heaven, but he was held back by the bitterness of the cold."

Now after waiting fifty years and having given up all hope of ever solving the riddle of the Grey and Black Pointed Spider I find the answer given at our very doorstep. Truly, here in America lies the key to unlock the great past history of man.

These Spiders were brought to my notice by my friend, Dr. Thomas M. Stewart, of Cincinnati, Ohio. They are engraved on circular pieces of shell, and on each of their backs is a symbol showing what they represented. These peculiar relics have been found in the burial vaults of the Mound Builders of Missouri, Arkansas and Tennessee. Because of the location of the places where they have been found Dr. Stewart suggested that they might have been used in the same manner as the Scarab in the Egyptian burial chambers.

The symbols on the backs of these Spiders are duplications of the symbols found as ornaments on the Water Bottle shown on page 241. No. 1 is the original symbol for the Four Great Forces shown in No. 2 on page 241. No. 2 shows the Forces working from west p. 237 to east as in No. 3 on page 241. No. 3 is the same compound symbol as shown in No. 2, page 241.

and then another interesting 4 from the history of the club,

This really stood out for me cause a giant denier, lol, on the 1833 thread is going on and on arguing against giants but it seems that poster's only point is that no giant fossilized feces have been found. I've been thinking 'so what, maybe they didn't 'eat' and/or digest food like we do?'.

GEN 10.8 “And Cush begat Nimrod: he began to be a mighty one in the earth. GEN 10.9 He was a mighty hunter before the LORD: wherefore it is said, Even as Nimrod the mighty hunter before the LORD.
GEN 10.10 And the beginning of his kingdom was Babel”

Genesis 10 provides precious few details regarding Nimrod: he was famous as a mighty hunter, a mighty warrior/leader, and/or a mighty one before God.

Orientalists, Armenian legends, and other mythology recorded Nimrod as a giant, but Masonic critics labeled this description a gross exaggeration, concluding that Nimrod was of great physical stature, but was not Nephilim.

Masonic history teems with Nimrod anecdotes: “The Cook Poem” and “The Tower Of Babel” recorded Nimrod as a mighty man, strong like a giant. “The Legend Of Nimrod” and “The Legend Of The Craft” recorded Nimrod as a mighty leader (king).



“Began” derives from “H2490 “Chalal”: to profane, break your word, dissolve, and opening a wedge. Seemingly then, Nimrod broke a vow dissolving his covenant with God, whereby Nimrod somehow became a “mighty one”.

Something mysterious likely happened to make Nimrod like a mighty one when he broke his vow to God, which hints at connected to the Babel rebellion, even though Nimrod is not explicitly mentioned in the Babel rebellion.

GEN 10.8 “And Cush begat Nimrod: he began to be a mighty one in the earth”


GEN 6.4 “There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown.”

Giant in Gen 6 (KJV) derives from “H5903 Nphiyl” meaning giant, tyrant, and a tribe of giants as in Nephilim. Nephyl is rooted “H5303 Naphal” meaning to fallen, cast down, as in fallen ones, Naphalim their parents: the fallen angels or sons of God.

Nephilim were described in Gen 6 as “Mighty” Ones of old and “Men Of renown”. “Mighty” (Ones) in Gen 6 also derives from Gibborim, and thus the connection to Nimrod who became a “Mighty One”

Shem is rooted in, and equivalent to the “Shamayim H8064”: lofty, of the heavens/stars etc. With the “im” plural in Shemayim, it forms the heavenly ones, linking Nephilim descending from infamous sons of God, angels, stars of heaven.

Hence, Gibborim accurately describes Nimrod as a “potentates, tyrants, mighty hunter and warrior”, just as Gibborim is defined in its application in Ezekiel 32:12 & 21 for “mighty” (see my series on Eze 32).

Ezek 32:12 “By the swords of the mighty will I cause thy multitude to fall, the terrible of the nations, all of them: and they shall spoil the pomp of Egypt, and all the multitude thereof shall be destroyed.”
Ezek 32:21 “The strong among the mighty shall speak to him out of the midst of hell with them that help him: they are gone down, they lie uncircumcised, slain by the sword.”

However, Gibborim is not necessarily defined singularly as describing the posterity of angels, as Nephilim does.

Gibborim is used to describe angels (Psa 103:20 excel), and the power of God (Deu 10:17), as well as men (Ruth 2:1 Boaz), and David’s mighty men as a few examples.

Psa 103:20 “Bless the LORD, ye his angels, that excel in strength, that do his commandments, hearkening unto the voice of his word.”
Deut 10:17 “For the LORD your God is God of gods, and Lord of lords, a great God, a mighty, and a terrible, which regardeth not persons, nor taketh reward”

The differentiation then is simply this: Nephilim can be described as Gibborim accurately, but Gibborim were not necessarily Nephilim. Gibborim can be powerful, human potentates and warriors as I believe Nimrod was, or angels.

Nimrod was born from Cush, and a human father (Gen 10 & 1 Chr 1:10), as opposed to being a son of fallen angels as Nephilim were (Gen 6:4), but at some point Nimrod began to be like a Nephilim; and thus the confusion.

Gen 10:8 “And Cush begat Nimrod: he began to be a mighty one in the earth.”

Nimrod certainly acted Like a Nephilim tyrant, but was not Nephilim by definition or likely a hybrid human/Nephilim. Perhaps Nimrod’s rebellion, occult religion, or occult knowledge changed Nimrod, but we are not told how he became Gibborim.

What we do know is Nimrod activated some form of occult/secret knowledge to build Babel city and Babel Tower, which likely did not come from Noah or his 3 sons.

Gen 11:3 “And they said one to another, Go to, let us make brick, and burn them throughly. And they had brick for stone, and slime had they for morter.
Gen 11:4 And they said, Go to, let us build us a city and a tower, whose top may reach unto heaven; and let us make us a name, lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth.”

Masonic history possibly sheds some light, stating Nimrod reactivated antediluvian knowledge from Enoch son of Cain, the Seven Sacred Sciences to build Babel City and Babel Tower. Gen 11 hints at of the power of this knowledge.

Gen 11:6 “And the LORD said, Behold, the people is one, and they have all one language; and this they begin to do: and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do.”

Masonic accounts parallel Genesis regarding cities Nimrod built after Babel; most had ziggurats. Masonic history noted that after Babel, Nimrod constructed many cities with ziggurats to consummate his credentials as a Master Mason.

Nimrod continued his modus operandi begat at Babel city to further rebellious agenda spreading Enochian Mysticism and developing the the Seven Sciences.

Craft legends noted Chaldean Magi propagated Nimrod’s mysticism after Babel, which was then exported to Egypt and then the balance of the known world.

Nimrod is a celebrated Mason in the Craft. He applied his craft as he pleased, and renowned as the first post diluvian Grand Master writing the its new constitution.

Gen 10:10 “And the beginning of his kingdom was Babel, and Erech, and Accad, and Calneh, in the land of Shinar.
Gen 10:11
Out of that land went forth Asshur, and builded Nineveh, and the city Rehoboth, and Calah,
Gen 10:12 And Resen between Nineveh and Calah: the same is a great city.”

The Spurious Sciences are purportedly so powerful that almost anything is possible. Nimrod “loved” the spurious sciences and power deriving from their application.

“The Regius Manuscript” stated Nimrod was the first “Excellent [post diluvian] Grand Master”. Because Nimrod developed the sciences, he was regarded as the founder of the postdiluvian Seven Sciences.

However, Nimrod partnered with Hermes who discovered the preserved knowledge that led the renaissance of the postdiluvian, spurious sciences.

This illicit knowledge Nimrod possessed and applied as part taking oath’s to the polytheist pantheon of gods, maybe how Nimrod began to be Gibborim: by disavowing God and using the knowledge to enhance his strength and power.

Nimrod, in occult history, married into Rephaim bloodlines establishing the first postdiluvian hybrid royal dynasty that later spread to Egypt and elsewhere.

Nimrod’s empire was in Shinar both before and after Babel. “H8152 Shinar” is not Hebrew, but a foreign transliteration and origin of Sumer, a land between 2 rivers [Tigris and Euphrates] also used to describe Babylon and Chaldea.

Gen 11:2 “And it came to pass, as they journeyed from the east, that they found a plain in the land of Shinar; and they dwelt there.”
Gen 11:4 “And they said, Go to, let us build us a city and a tower, whose top may reach unto heaven; and let us make us a name, lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth.”
Gen 10:10 “And the beginning of his kingdom was Babel, and Erech, and Accad, and Calneh, in the land of Shinar.”

Shinar was part of the Mesopotamian Rephaim alliance that warred with Covenant Land Rephaim kings in Abraham’s time: the “War of Giants” recorded in Gen 14.

Elam’s King Chedorlaomer successfully rebelled against Nimrod. Chedorlaomer was known variantly as king Kutir-Lagamar of Susa, the loyal vassal and tax collector of Amar-Sin, the biblical Amraphel, and the 3rd monarch of the Ur III Dynasty.

Elamites occupied the cities of Susa and Awan. They intermarried with off-shoot, wandering Aryans/Rephaim and Amorites, just Nimrod’s and his descendants did.

Gen 14:1 “And it came to pass in the days of Amraphel king of Shinar, Arioch king of Ellasar, Chedorlaomer king of Elam, and Tidal king of nations”

Now Sumer/Shinar records may have recorded Nimrod’s marital alliance with Rephaim via Enmerkar, Sumerian Enmerukar, king of Uruk in Shinar (Erech Gen 10:10) and one of the cities Nimrod founded.

Enmerukar was 3rd generation post flood, as was Nimrod. Enmerukar proclaimed the goddess Inanna as the partner deity to Enki reestablishing Enoch’s mysticism as seemingly Nimrod did.

Enmerukar was recorded in Akkadian narratives as the king who built a ziggurat at Eridu, in direct opposition to Enlil, and thus possibly locating the Tower of Babel at Eridu. Certainly, the Babel and Eridu narratives are eerily similar.

Eridu was the antediluvian city built by Enoch/Uanna (son of Cain) naming it after his son Irad. This was the city where the high priest dedicated a shrine to Enki.

Eridu was the legendary antediluvian city where kingship first descended from heaven before the flood, marking the division between the old world of hunters and gatherers and the new world of civilization.

Ergo, if Nimrod wanted make a statement in his rebellion, and to mock God, Eridu would have been the ideal location do so; to make a name for themselves.

Gen 11:4 “And they said, Go to, let us build us a city and a tower, whose top may reach unto heaven; and let us make us a name, lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth.”

Enmerukar/Nimrod defiantly rebuilt the two cities of the Evil Enoch, Uruk and Eridu as part of his renaissance rebellion against God re-instituting Enochian Mysticism.

Thus in the Sumerian epic, “Enmerukar And The Lord Of Aratta”, Enmerukar wanted to build Enki a shrine, a mountain [Mount Hermon].

But the “Ninurta’s Pride And Punishment” epic, Enlil thwarted Enmerukar’s pride. Enlil changed humankind’s speech, which had been one, just the Bible recorded.

Additionally, The “Book Of Jasher” offers another possible explanation as to how Nimrod transformed to become a Mighty One via the mysterious garments God made Adam and Eve, which Nimrod allegedly inherited from Cush at age 20.

Gen 3:21 “Unto Adam also and to his wife did the LORD God make coats of skins, and clothed them.”

However, we must be very careful with the Book Of Jasher as it has many Cabalistic corruptions and missing verses if it is indeed the true Book of Jasher. But, this is the account in Jasher:

7:24. “And the garments of skin which God made for Adam and his wife, when they went out of the garden, were given to Cush.
25. For after the death of Adam and his wife, the garments were given to Enoch, the son of Jared, and when Enoch was taken up to God, he gave them to Methuselah, his son.
26. And at the death of Methuselah, Noah took them and brought them to the ark, and they were with him until he went out of the ark.
27. And in their going out, Ham stole those garments from Noah his father, and he took them and hid them from his brothers.
28. And when Ham begat his first born Cush, he gave him the garments in secret, and they were with Cush many days.
