I lost my father a few years ago and struggle with it. I think your Mom would be proud, people who can appreciate the time they had with loved ones are wonderful and I'm sure she would be happy to know how much you still think about her :)

I miss my Dad every day, he died while I was still a no good drunken fucked up shithead. That was 20 some years ago.

I did get to see him while he was dying the last week or so, and was able to at least tell him I was sorry.

I feel for you....my father has been gone for 20 years and even at 91 I miss him to the point of almost crying

On Oct 6 marked the 2nd year mine had past on. She was 94 with Dementia and it was best since she had been in a nursing home 2 years prior to her passing.
But, like the old saying I`d give anything to have a Thanksgiving with her again like she was before the dementia.

No she was not.. Only if you consider 56 old.

So much happpened before her death. My oldest daughter was born and then had life threaghtening complications. Miracousley she fought through. She will graduate high school this year. My mom would be so proud.

The one thing that still haunts me is her insistance that she fealt it was her time. I argueed with her about that. Told her to fight, it wasn't her decission when call it quits..

Needless to say, it was her time.

I still feel like an ass for not listenning to her.

Don't feel that way. You loved her and could not do other than hope she would live.

56 is younger than I am. Way too young.

She IS proud, if any glimmer of your love shines through to her. I am sure it does!




my own mom is asleep recuperating from a broken arm. Lots of therapy, many doctor visits, but the bone is knitting together. I hope she comes out of this mishap stronger.

I hope it's been more of a blessing than a curse.

I humbly ask for any life advice you would like to share. I would appreciate any words of wisdom.

I also hope that when your job is done that the first person to welcome you to your forever home is your father.

I lost both of my parents within 4 years of each other, my mom passed this june at 90.

You never get over that loss, you just learn to live with it.

I smile when I think that soon I'll be with them again.

Those who have died and whom we've loved are never gone. They are just in another room where we'll go one day. The soul is eternal and love is the most powerful force in the universe.

I understand your sense of loss. I speak to my departed mother every day, sometimes out loud when I am alone. Though I miss her, I pray that her soul is at peace and no longer troubled by the cares of this world.

M8, shes always with you, you knew her best, shes that voice in your head too by what you describe. Just think about it.
