I woke singing that 'partridge in a pear tree' bit..and was never certain what that song was about either. Loving the symbolism. :) I thought so too. You’re welcome :) It almost feels like the meaning is someone is about to get pregnant. Not me obviously being I gifted the tree to her. The woman was not the GLPer though. The poster I mentioned followed me there. I was trying to avoid them. Yes, everything I’ve read seems to point to the pear symbolizing fertility, and abundance. Some also say it’s a symbol for immortality. Immortality It feels like we've had this conversation before! |

Quoting: Seer777 That's the thing about people with PTSD..if we get triggered the reaction can be impossible to stop as is viewed as a life-threatening situation which is countered by potentially excessive force. Even if the dog was friendly..I might not be able to control the reaction of abject terror and move to kill it. fair but give it a second before you shoot someones dog please I will not be happy if I see NW woman shoots labradoodle in woods no worries Funny story.. When we first arrived I decided to tackle the fear thing head-on and immediately took my dog for a small walk. We walked 2 campsites down...tured around and was going to walk back the other way when I noticed a herd of children on bikes coming toward me and following them..was an unleashed dog. I felt that twinge..picked up my dog and made a b-line for my campsite when I heard the kids calling their dog. I knew it was coming for me. Second later I turned around and it was behind me. It was goldendoddle..instead of scared I suddenly realized the sync and found it kind of funny. They called their dog again and he left. After that I walked my dog around with a little less fear. Last night I met a labradoodle named Maxwell I instantly thought of this conversation I am glad you had such a great time I hope you stood on a rock barefoot |
