Buckminster Fuller

Richard Buckminster Fuller (July 12, 1895 – July 1, 1983) was an American architect, systems theorist, author, designer, inventor, and futurist.

He styled his name as R. Buckminster Fuller in his writings, publishing more than 30 books and coining or popularizing such terms as "Spaceship Earth", "Dymaxion" (e.g., Dymaxion house, Dymaxion car, Dymaxion map), "ephemeralization", "synergetics", and "tensegrity".

Fuller developed numerous inventions, mainly architectural designs, and popularized the widely known geodesic dome; carbon molecules known as fullerenes were later named by scientists for their structural and mathematical resemblance to geodesic spheres.

He also served as the second World President of Mensa International from 1974 to 1983.

Systems theory

General systems theory is about developing broadly applicable concepts and principles, as opposed to concepts and principles specific to one domain of knowledge. It distinguishes dynamic or active systems from static or passive systems. Active systems are activity structures or components that interact in behaviours and processes. Passive systems are structures and components that are being processed. For example, a program is passive when it is a disc file and active when it runs in memory.

The field is related to systems thinking, machine logic, and systems engineering.

I thought this was interesting as I missed it the first time...

The shape is called the cuboctahedron or vector equilibrium, and its the only geometrical shape known that can flex to form all five of the Platonic solids. This one shape seems to have them all contained within itself.

This pattern happens to be related to our consciousness, to the very nature of who we are.

Here is a video of it in action..

[link to www.youtube.com]

And a blog that goes into more detail on how it works..
[link to philosophestoned.Nope]
"The next key I discovered is the application of the Buckminster Fuller Vector Flexor "jitterbug". This is a beautiful geometric dance which Bucky believed was a model for the Universe. It is significant I think, because it shows the crucial transformation from cubic/octahedral symmetry to dodecahedral/icosahedral symmetry."

"Furthermore, it unfolds the pattern to 64 total permutations, just like the I Ching. If this can be shown to be a workable system, it would throw a completely new spin (literally) on the I Ching; there are various states of motion described by the different hexagrams."

This shape IS what contains Metatron's Cube within it, Our life force. And it relates directly with the iching.

Cool huh:)

Great video. Shows even more so how amazing the Platonic solids are.

The Washington Monument sits right in the center of a giant vesica piscis.

When you learn to recognize the symbols..you'll see them everywhere.

It's not evil, it's just geometry and maybe a feeling of superiority of those ancient peoples who could utilize it, in building their communities among the unwashed masses. Mason is a profession. Just like Milling, Weaving, and countless other last names that follow your ancestry.

People want to believe it is 'evil' because they are ignorant. It's just numbers.

Compass=curved lines
Square=straight lines

Simple as that.

https://imgur.com/FolrxuC

 Quoting: Seer777

Yeah I forgot about all the secret milling and weaving groups that have influential positions throughout society all throughout history.

There are physical masons, and there are esoteric masons. Both build things, one is a building, the other is an enterprise. The latter builds both, including the country and all the designs on our money and inwashington.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 81151925

Point is Masons are skilled and educated and wanted to surround themselves with others that could understand things on their level.

It's exhausting having to explain things to people all the time, who would rather believe in the boogie man than just accept that people are people.

When you spend all your time believing the worst about people, then attribute it an entire group as if that totally strips away any individuality people in the group have, then why would you expect them to want to help or educate you such that an understanding can be found?

It really is pretty simple.

Here's a video if you are interested in learning more.

[link to youtu.be (secure)]

The square and compass were used for geometry and building, when most people were illiterate and had no concept of numbers.

The 'Jesus fish' is a representation of the vesica piscis. It's geometry which is why it goes beyond language.

The Chicken and the Egg, I imagine, in the Aristotelian sense, but with a quantum twist.

So, within any 'infinite loop', the beatings continue into entropy until Morale improves - at which point the loop must naturally compensate for the shift in energy, resulting in an entirely new 'loop'.

We're all in a 'loop' war.

I like the idea of warders. It makes sense.

Spoilers for episode 1..

[link to youtu.be (secure)]
 Quoting: Seer777

Warder

A Warder (known as Gaidin in the Old Tongue) is a person, traditionally male, who is bonded by an Aes Sedai through the use of saidar to become her bodyguard and protector.

Warders are easily recognized by their distinctive Color-shifting cloak, made of fancloth, when they choose to wear it.

The Warder bond was invented after the Breaking, and has distinct benefits for both parties. The Warder gains greater stamina and physical prowess, a greater capacity to resist evil, the ability to sense shadowspawn at a distance, and greater resistance to injury (totally aside from the proximity of his Aes Sedai, who is probably able to Heal his wounds using the Power).

The Aes Sedai, for her part, gains a bodyguard, confidant and ally-in-schemes who is intrinsically linked to her and can be compelled, to a certain extent, through the bond. Both parties are able to sense the other's general location, physical well-being and, to some extent, emotional state.

When an Aes Sedai dies, her Warder rarely survives. He completely loses the will to live and will almost always die attempting to avenge his Aes Sedai. A Warder's death is nearly as terrible for his Aes Sedai, creating so much emotional turmoil for her that often Aes Sedai take many years to bond another.

Aes Sedai

"An Aes Sedai never lies, but the truth she speaks may not be the truth you think you hear."
~Tam al'Thor

The Aes Sedai (Old Tongue: Servant of All) are women who can channel the One Power, and have been trained in the White Tower of Tar Valon. They have passed the tests for earning both the ring and the shawl and are bound by the Three Oaths. They are the only organization of female channelers in the Westlands (and until recently, they believed themselves to be the only legitimate channeling organization in the known world), giving them a vast amount of power and influence over the nations of the world, providing advisors to kings and queens.

They aided mankind as scientists, healers, and philosophers. Women used saidar and men saidin, although it is believed that channelers in the Age of Legends were much stronger, or at least more knowledgeable, in the Power than their modern equivalents; it is believed that they could fly, and things that would seem miraculous today were supposedly commonplace to them.

Some of their lost Talents, such as Traveling and Dreaming, have only just been rediscovered. One thing is clear, however; the greatest works were wrought by male and female channelers working together. Additionally, due to the social structure of the Age of Legends being based on how well one served society, the Aes Sedai as an organization were held in extremely high regard and were very well respected due to the fact that, with the advantage of being able to channel, the Aes Sedai contributed extraordinarily to the betterment of humankind.

Should read the books. There was a reason they largely stayed in the tower, and were known as puppet masters. Generally there would be one assigned to a countries leader as an...advisor...tho some places banned them utterly, or built cities near ter'angreal that prevented channeling.

Red sisters generally do not have friends outside of their Ajah, and upon donning the shawl are often forced to end any friendship with women not also of the Red...
...During the more than three-thousand year history of the Tower, the Red has always been the largest Ajah. From the founding up until the Trolloc Wars, the overall proportion was much larger than it is now, with between one quarter and one third of all Aes Sedai choosing the Red
...This Ajah proportionally had also the greatest concentration of Black sisters with at least forty-eight (around a quarter of the entire Ajah)
...After the purge or escape of so many Black sisters, the Seanchan Raid, and the unfortunate expeditions of the Reds to kidnap the Dragon or to destroy the Black Tower
...Reds travel also in search of wilders or other female channelers (for instance runaways or sent away from the Tower) to check their behaviour.
...After the death of Gitara Moroso in 978 NE, the Black Ajah became concerned that the Amyrlin Seat, Tamra Ospenya, had discovered their existence. They kidnapped her and tortured her, learning in the process that the Dragon had been reborn, but not when. Hundreds of men who showed any possibility of being able to channel or being ta'veren were killed. Since killing with the One Power was prevented by the Three Oaths, the Sisters would typically gentle the man and then tell his neighbors what he was, anticipating that they would end his life. The Black Ajah manipulated the Red Ajah into participating in this purge of male channelers that eventually became known as the Vileness.

Re: Mad World
Three Oaths

Before an Accepted is raised to be Aes Sedai she must swear three oaths on a ter'angreal called an Oath Rod that completely binds her to keep those oaths. The Three Oaths are as follows:

To speak no word that is not true

To make no weapon with which one man may kill another

Never to use the One Power as a weapon except against Darkfriends or Shadowspawn, or in the last extreme defense of her life, the life of her Warder, or another Aes Sedai

These oaths were never necessary in the past, however sometime between the Trolloc Wars and the War of the Hundred Years it was decided that Aes Sedai needed to show the world that their use of the One Power was not a threat, and so the Three Oaths became part of the Aes Sedai raising ceremony.
