Deplorable Scot .. User ID: 74670205 United Kingdom 04/15/2017 04:50 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Got my ass up early today to get on the lake by sunrise. Daily temps have been mid to upper sixties lately here in the mountain state with temperatures today expected to be mid seventies. Quoting: mtn_mang What kind of lures do the glp fishers recommend? I plan on throwing mainly football head jigs, chatterbaits, crankbaits and soft plastics on a Texas or maybe wacky rig (typically Yum dingers) Haven't hooked up with a bass this year and I'm getting desperate so any pro tips are greatly appreciated! Cast your line here ... you never know what you might catch. |

(OP) User ID: 71609026 United States 04/18/2017 07:32 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Yeah! Successful day at the river. Landed a few smallies and a rock bass as well. They were all over a red, Arkie brand crappie crank. Lots of bites on a basic jighead with an orange grub, too. So happy the season is picking up! Interested in hearing other success stories and what lures you're using. |

Glides over lily pads, moss, weeds, etc. If those conditions are not present, it is a very effective twitch bait, with a super slow sink rate. White with a white skirt, or, frog with a white skirt. Try it. User ID: 72539217 United States 04/18/2017 08:12 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I had amazing luck fishing spinner baits in mid-sized ponds in Orlando. When the water warms up, near spawning season, as the bass are forming depressions in the sand (nests), dance a neon spinner above them. The bass will hit that lure like a freight train. Any type of weedless frog lure- the top water ones especially- will really perform IF the bass are large enough where your fishing. That's only for largemouth though. I'm not really sure about other varieties. GLP is an INSTITUTION |
